I am looking into a liquimetal coating deck for land and creature destruction, but I want one with some control. I made this deck, but was wondering if I can get feedback? I usually play 6 player multiplayer matches, but occasionally 1 v 1's or smaller type games. I want something competitive with the stronger decks I usually face.
i have some cards for a little draw power and scry to help find the coatings quick. counter spells if they try to bounce the coatings or anything else. destruction cards for artifacts when i get the coating. elixir to return things if they do get bounced or life gain. I tried to have jace for some chance of a win condition and draw. the creatures are there for blocking and slime for the destruction. I haven't played this deck yet, but I don't want it to be too slow.
I would like to put in other win conditions if possible just in case. and possibly Reclaim if an elixir gets milled. if you have any ideas or desire to change it, I'm open to suggestions. please help.
I though about adding Birds Of Paradise but I want to keep the deck around 60. going over a few is okay i suppose. I did want to make this red/green but i want the blue for some control.
please help thanks! I'm just looking to learn!
also, I'm looking to keep this deck relatively cheap. i don't want to be buying 4 Mycosynth Lattice or anything like that.
EDIT:
The decklist up now is what I have. I changed a few things around. Lost Splinter and Ancient stirrings and added thran forge, trygon, fabricate, glissa, and AEtherling
But on to your deck, sorry I get side tracked easy. 20 lands is just too few, I would at least try to add 2 or 3 more. Ancient Stirrings seems a bit out of place, if you stick with U consider Fabricate, yeah I know not the greatest card ever, but it will definitely get you what you need.
I have one blue/green deck that I run 19 lands in and it seems to work well. I seem to draw cards that help fetch land, though I only have a few. 2 I think. I play a lot of terramorphic expanse and evolving wilds in that deck tough. Either way! thank you.
I dont know your meta, but ask yourself if you really want to use the Liquimetal Coating-Splinter-combo in a multiplayer environment. On the one side, Land Destruction is bad play in some metas, maybe its a common thing in yours. On the other side you will only hurt one player with it by shutting him out of the game but forcing him to still participate in it until someone kills him. If this is the thing you want, go for it (some players need some punishment sometimes), but it won't make your deck very popular.

or
-4 Gleeful Sabotage and +2 Birds of Paradise, +2 AEtherling
just looking for ideas. I want to be able to have some extra win conditions!
Though my deck was R/G so it could run Goblin Tinkerer and Gorilla Shaman, to nerf lands for days.
That was before Liquidmetal Coating, now it would even be better with Viashino Heretic playing field control like a boss.
Just some food for thought.

You 100% want Glissa Sunseeker in there.
Guilds of Ravnica - Commander 2018 - Core 2019 - Battlebond - Dominaria - Rivals of Ixalan - Ixalan - Commander 2017 - Hour of Devastation - Amonket - Aether Revolt - Commander 2016 - Kaladesh - Conspiracy 2 - Eldritch Moon - Shadows Over Innistrad - Oath of the Gatewatch - Commander 2015 - Battle for Zendikar - Magic Origins - Dragons of Tarkir
Green - Blue - Red - White - Gold
There is also Caustic Wasps and Trygon Predator, if you want more destruction on a stick.

I have jace for card drawing or alternate win: mill, if nothing goes out right, but could/should it be replaced? by what?
Aetherling is there if i can't find the other creatures. and to help on losing life win condition. what should I do with these?
I kept 1 fabricate to help search for any of the artifacts. If i need an elixir or really can't find a liquimetal. What you opinions on this deck?
