Hey guys! Newcomer here, I'm just looking for some help revising my main EDH deck that I play casually with my friends. Mostly if I need to run less counterspells or change out anything from my maybeboard to the mainboard. Thanks for the feedback!
You are not playing Curiosity, which is a combo with Niv. But maybe you would prefer to avoid combos...
Any reason why you don't have Sol Ring? I know it doesn't help cast Niv, but you have plenty of other things to cast with it. Seems better than curious homunculus.
Since Niv Draws you so many cards, you could easily cut Fevered Visions. It doesn't do enough to justify giving your opponents cards.
You have Cancel in the deck, when there are 101 better counterspells. How about Dissolve or Dissipate?
As dunharrow put it quite nicely, you need to adjust th decks you play according to how you feel it's running, not tuned for a theoretical meta. I for one like having a variety of decks, so my control decks are very controlly, with a lot of draw-go turns, and i tuned it to be that way. my voltron deck is based off donating my auras away with zedruu, so i cut auras like celestial mantle (which seems absurd for a voltron deck).
I think i would recommend you take notes the next time you play. break it down into analysable chunks:
early game: % of your hand that is playable, and if each individual card contributes to what you want your deck to do
mid-game: state of the board (if you're ahead or behind or at parity), then again, % of your hand that's playable, and consider if each of those contribute to pushing you ahead/towards your game plan.
late game: % of your hand that's playable, and cards that basically seal the game for you or not.
Throughout that, if there are cards that you never feel like you want to play, those could be considered for the cut. If throughout all that, you feel mana-starved, you might wanna add more of that. and so on.

I would play Commander's Sphere over Izzet Cluestone
Your mana base could use some better lands. Wandering Fumarole?
Through the Breach makes no sense in your deck.
Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time are amazing spells you should play.
Risk Factor seems terrible in a multiplayer format.
What is your goal?
