The plan is to accelerate as fast possible setting up mana rocks and dropping Nekusar or some version of pain tax for drawing plus Paradox Engine and repeatedly casting wheel effects on one turn. There is counter magic to save crucial plays or to protect your pieces and ways to keep going should the main wincon be taken down. Also, there are draw cantrips to help filter through the deck and give out Paradox Engine triggers to keep adding mana to the pool or to untap a Jace's Archivist for continual wheels.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to speed the deck up and/or make it more efficient are greatly welcomed.
With the low curve of the deck, Dream Halls wouldn't fit too well, plus give my opponents more opportunities to disrupt me. It would work fine in my older version of the deck. I also opted not to go the infect route in this version as well. While still possible it may make an appearance didn't on what isn't performing well. That being said, Hive Mind is interesting. I will have to see how I can fit it in for some testing. It would be a good tutor target when I'm ready to combo.
Two words, one card: dream halls
Ends games with nekusar on the field.
Even if you run out of mana you just keep wheeling by discarding and drawing more wheels and discard fodder.
Whenever I drop Nekusar he’s always public enemy #1. Dream halls negates his commander tax by discarding any coloured card in your deck
It’s insane.
With that number of rocks you can blast out a hive mind really early and cast wheel of fortune for each player at the table.
That’s 28 damage.
Just make sure the game ends there as you’re going to be swept away with the hivemind of removal coming your way.
Dream Halls doesn't bypass commander tax, just the casting cost of Nekusar. You'd still have to pay the commander tax whenever you cast him with Dream Halls.

I'm surprised I don't see Underworld Dreams at least mentioned here. Granted, it's not a bomb, and it's black focused at BBB, but sometimes every little bit helps.
Now, for a bomb, you can't deny the hilarity of dropping JinGi at the end of your turn when you have Megrim and Caress out, particularly if you've been building up their hands. On that subject, Mikokoro would be a nice addition as well.
Underworld Dreams was in the initial list. I took it out due to the hard 3 BBB, which is really rough early on. In my retired casual list the Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur would work just fine, but I don't see him doing me any good here. Same with Mikokoro, Center of the Sea. Lands are delicate balance when I combo off early, I'd rather have colored mana than colorless and ones that cost mana to activate. But definitely some ideas to revamp the old casual list.
Got just 1 game in this weekend. Another turn 4 combo. My group is kinda done seeing Nekusar for awhile because it is so efficient and mean. I decided not to add the cards I was mulling over the other week. But I will always be on the lookout for new additions to the deck.
Looks like all you're missing is the Timetwister!!
Sakashima is a great card, allowing you to copy Nekusar is great

Be a lemming hunter. Don't be a lemming. Really, all you had to do was explain to him the popularity metric, not give him the lemming hunter manifesto...
Timetwister would be fantastic to have. Alas, the price tag on that card and finding one in great shape stops me.
As for this weeks review, no updates or changes. My playgroup put a ban on Nekusar until the the next B&R. Apparently the UN sets additions scared them too much.

That is what I am trying to figure out. Hopefully it's not their way nicely getting me off the deck lol.
Yeah, I think they're just taking advantage of the sudden chaos to get you to stop using Nekusar, lol. I don't think they're any silver-bordered cards that break Nekusar.

I'm kinda stuck far as an lgs goes, I work during the week when other people meet up with the other stores. So I play at one on Saturdays. We have 3 playgroups there, one refuses to play against Nekusar and the other 2 put the temp ban in place. Least I'm not the only one affected. For the time being they have to deal with my Merieke deck.
Tomorrow brings the end of the playgroup ban on Nekusar as well as the legality of the un-sets. Can't wait to pilot this again next weekend and remind them drawing isn't free anymore. Lol
I play Nekusar as part of the 99 in a control list Silas and Akiri. It looks so not scary with those commanders and then everyone is surprised when you drop Nekusar, Jin, Niv-mizzet, locust god, consecrated sphinx etc and all the wheels. Its a ton of fun to play though probably less CEDH than Nekusar.
What is Baral doing in the list? Jace's Archivist is too slow, and the Discount Crew (Goblin Electromancer, Nightscape Familiar etc.. would be better off replaced by cards that actually do something.
Baral is part of the discount crew. The purpose of them is cheapen cost of spells to "storm" out so to speak. Makes a huge difference if paradox engine gets taken out or if its on the field. Paying 1 mana to wheel is pretty good imo. Archivist is a continual wheel with paradox in play, but I agree he may be too slow. I may need a better tutor or counter package or more cantrip draw. I'm unsure at this point. This is a low curve combo build, so I feel the higher cmc cards hurt the deck and would be suited more for a midrange style similar to my old list.
The comments are much appreciated and love the card suggestions. We all know fine tuning is rough due to slot availability. But keep them coming and I'll keep ya updated on progress.

Lol, that's very trollish to ban your commander. I suggest you test it out against another playgroup or at an LGS.
