MTG Salvation

This is one of the commanders that I am in the process of building. It would help me a lot if I can get some feed back please.

To start, would recommend bumping your land base put to at least 36 lands. The three check lands (Clifftop Retreat, Rootbound Crag, and Sunpetal Grove) would be fantastic additions, they'll help you with color icon early. Gavony Township is another good land when used with Marath. I would also add in some additional ramp (Wood Elves and Sakura-Tribe Elder for example).

What is it you want the deck to do? Are you tying for a token build? Or something like a goodstuff/battleship build? Or more aggro centric? That information will help us when we give you suggestions.

The reason I'm not using more land is the amount of artifact ramp and spell ramp. I do agree with the check lands, I will add them in right away. The type of deck I'm going for is more of a token based deck to get out more creatures that produce tokens or spells that do. I really do thank you for your advise. Anything else would help.

I would still recommend upping it a bit. You need to hit your first few land drops in order to ramp.

For Marath, Mentor of the Meek will provide you better card draw than the Academy Raider, and rewards you for making tokens. Cathars' Crusade is good for similar reasons, but provides pump instead of CA.

The list in my signature is a token build for Marath. Feel free to take a look for some ideas. If you want to see a more aggro/mid range based list, ToSGod had a fantastic list here.

I understand where you are coming from on lands, however I have tested this and the land count is perfect. The artifact ramp is more then enough, I can cast a first turn kodama's reach and not have to worry.
When it comes to Academy Rector she isn't meant for draw, she is meant for enchantment search which will give me the enchantments I need at that moment. I do like mentor of the meek however I don't think he is good enough to put in this deck. I will play test mentor of the meek to see if he would help. I understand the power of draw and the power that this could potently help with. I end up might taking your advise but I will test it out.

My last suggestions are 'removal' cards. Aura Shards and Basilisk Collar are essentially instant speed removal with Marath, for 1.

Ant Queen - 1G: Put a 1/1 token onto the battlefield. Bonkers with Doubling Season and Parallel Lives.
Dragonlair Spider - Whenever an opponent cast a spell, put a 1/1 token into play. Gets out of control in multiplayer games.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion - Powerful, powerful card. Three 1/1 tokens every turn adds up quickly.
Luminarch Ascension - 1W: Put a 4/4 token with flying into play. Such a powerful card, you may become a target.

Token Abusers:
Beastmaster Ascension - Creatures you control get +5/+5. Wins games the turn it goes off.
Craterhoof Behemoth - Wins games. 'Nuff said.
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - Other creatures you control get +2/+2 and creatures your opponents control get -2/-2. Wins games.
Mirror Entity - X: Creatures you control get +X/+X. Another powerful card.

Utility:
Dauntless Escort - Cut Rootborn Defenses for this guy. Same thing, but on a creature.

Thanks for your advise. I'm not a fan of Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or of Ant Queen in my deck. The rest of them I will test what I have and see if I can fit them in and what to take out. I totally forgot about Craterhoof Behemoth. He is going in right now.

I am removing:

-Titanic Ultimatum
-Decree of Justice
-Baneslayer Angel
-Privileged Position
-Warstorm Surge

and I will be adding:
+ Basilisk collar
+ aura shards
+ Karametra, God of Harvests
+ Xenagos, God of Revels
+ something I don't know yet. I would like advise on that one.
