Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to what I hope to call an interesting experience with easily the most expensive 5 color commander, tied with Progenitus, Reaper King
this deck has come about from seeing all sorts of different ideas between my friends and I, as well as many others that play at my LGS. I decided I would inevitably make a 5 color commander, and Reaper struck me as being the most interesting, and probably scarcely common among the 5 colored.
The decks I most commonly play against have been a Rhuric Thar deck, courtesy of TerminusEdge, a Xiao Dun, also courtesy of Terminus, a Kresh, Kaalia, Sen tripletes, Thraxi, and Rafiq from another of my friends.
Oddly enough, I have had a slightly higher success playing this game(in terms of hand states early and mid game as well as board presence) compared to my pair of 2 color decks and my mono green.
Typically, my first tutor targets are either Xenograft or Conspiracy(usually Xeno depending on what my mana base is looking like) or some kind of power house like Sun titan or Sheoldred.
a few cards I plan on adding soon is Bloom tender and possibly Mindwrack Liege, the latter being just a fun experiment, to see what I can easily drop out for that 4 mana, and a Thran Quarry though not so much quarry seeing how 1 board wipe and its now a dead land
Change log:
--- Cosi's trickster, and Obelisks of Jund and Esper
++ Bloom tender, Fellwar Stone and Thran Quarry
12/15/13 change: -Cerebral Eruption-
+Mindwrack Liege+
12/19/13
out: Sakashima, Soul of the harvest, Mind Spring, Vivid Creek, Breaking//Entering
In Bringers of the W, B and U Dawn, Breeding Pool, Debtors' Knell
12/20/2013 out Stalking vengeance
In Austere Command
things I know i can probably cut: Cosi's Trickster it was just a fun gimmick because my meta usually does a LOT of tutoring and fetching Sakashima the Impostor I feel he isnt as powerful as I would like in this deck, unless I happen to be able to trigger him with Riku on an ETB like Rune-scarred or Sun Titan Cerebral Eruption As much as I would like to have some kind of board wipe save for a massive amount of Reaper king triggers, its too specific unless I happen to, again, have Riku on the board
I also notice i am only running a total of 35 lands, I could probably cut either the signets, or the obelisks(or both) for additional lands, and Amulet of Vigor is in there because so many of my current lands come in tapped, as well as being a middle finger to Urabrask
Also i feel like the deck is lacking any board wipes unless I get lucky enough to trigger reaper king several times in one turn, as well as any kind of card draw/tutoring, which there I hope the Bringers help with
reaper king is probably the best good stuff general since he syncs so well with just about every creature in the game thanks to conspiracy and friends.

if you add those that opens up reasons to play things like leyline anticipation and bogardan hellkite
reaper king is probably the best good stuff general since he syncs so well with just about every creature in the game thanks to conspiracy and friends.
but if you really wanna make him evil try more ramp and mana doubling to make those blink effects and summoning rediculous.
(im naming cards you have already for a reason) {you need more of them} ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly I don't own erratic portal, but I will pick one up soon, same with Bogarden.
What do you see I could cut for some of these?
