I am new to stax, but I feel I have a some what decent (GOD HELP ME I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING) understanding how it works. I want this to work, but I don't know if I'm trying to hard on making conventional stax, which might not work with him. I might need to think outside the box a bit... and I tried that... and there's some odds and ends here. So if anyone is great at stax, and is flexible in thought... pls help.
Also, Contamination is really, really strong but doesn't play nicely with the heavy White requirements in this deck. I tried it out but wasn't that pleased.
Finally - since I have been playing a very similar decklist, I would warn you - you have to get some kind of lock in place by around turn 5 or you *WILL* lose to fast combo. Don't underestimate how quickly a deck like Sidisi or Jeleva Storm can blow you out.
I really like your deck, it should play out really well.
Some other really great cards are Martyr's Bond to be a third Grave Pact effect which it also works well with Daxos's enchantment creatures. Torpor Orb works wonders on many decks and with having such a small amount of creatures it shouldn't really affect you. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite helps pump your tokens and weakens your opponents creatures.
Some cards that can be cut for other options are Seal of Cleansing. 10/10 times Aura of Silence is a better option and with other ways to get rid of artifacts and enchantments, you don't really need this. Necrogen Mists and Bottomless Pit both do not play nicely with Necropotence although they are good outside of that. But forced discard is generally better when you have a commander or build that focuses on it's benefits more. I've also never been fond of Imposing Sovereign. It is better replaced with something like Kismet for slightly more but also fits being an enchantment.
I hope this helps out and look forward to seeing the decks progress.
Please let me know how your games go, but from my experience, Daxos is stupidly mana hungry. He is kind of a bombo with mass land destruction. I would recommend Obzedat or little Teysa instead as your general. Still maybe you can prove me wrong (it doesn't count if you don't cast your general ;)).
Starfield of Nyx doesn't work with Daxos either (just in case you didn't know).
"Necrogen Mists/Bottomless Pit are a nonbo with Necropotence" x2. You guys joking? You guys must be joking. Having to exile pitch something from a grip of seven is a small price to pay for having a grip of seven and not being stuck doing topdeck magic like most other people at the table. It's not like he even runs heavy recursion. But yes, discard is a fantastic direction to take Daxos in. Follow it up with Oppression, Thoughtrender Lamia (you can use Daxos to strip cards in other people's draw steps), maybe even Painful Quandary and Creeping Dread.
I do agree that mana denying yourself is probably not in your interests, especially as all your mana rocks are of the fat colourless variety and your deck's business spells and abilities are quite coloured heavy. You might want to think a bit outside the box, as you predicted, and take it in a slightly different direction. Contamination will work very well, make some coloured mana through your rocks and you'll survive it. Splash in some more token makers and go for Humility to seize up the board (refer to Damnosus and his list for further details). Choke up spell chains with Rule of Law (while using your unspent mana on Daxos bodies, ho!). Daxos can be quite a vindictive little thing, but if you just wanna jam 'geddon and orb, you might be better off at looking towards something like Brago for your needs.

I am simply saying that if he is going to focus on a discard theme, than he should really focus on it. It should be more dedicated than just two cards that do it. Sure it is good with Necropotence, but how often is it going to help you out really when you are focusing on something else, ie. enchantment stax... and Necropotence still gets you away from top decking without them. You have a valid point of screwing your opponents and you benefiting, but then there needs to be other stax cards that need to be cut to make room for this idea. Just my thoughts.
Apologies, I misinterpreted your message as focusing on the nonbo part.
I agree, going deeper than two discard cards is probably a good idea. Daxos thrives in topdeck land, as everybody is limited in their options (including dealing with your amassing value) whilst you cackle as maniacally as you desire and build up a board of spirits. It's a phenomenal option to have available, as it makes everybody else's life incredibly miserable. It's one of my more effective and unanimously hated (often eating counters/immediate removal) "speed bumps". Combine a hefty discard package (I have 5 cards and think more wouldn't hurt), a Humility package, a Contamination package, some tutors and other assorted hate/value cards (Rule of Law, Skybind, Doomwake Giant etc), and you end up with a very menacing build that doesn't nonbo itself with mana denial but comes with a bit of stax flavour?

It's in there for a few of the quick creature comboing decks. That being said kismet is something that's legit.... I actually forgot about it lol. Thanks much! I'll have add that I think.

Starfield of Nyx doesn't work with Daxos either (just in case you didn't know).
Also, no Humility? For shame!
Lol I see what you did there with the humility joke. +1 for the pun.
Also I do cast my general, and that's why I added sera's and urborg+cabal. I might have to add deserted temple too, for that untap doe. I'm gonna try to make this guy work, and if it can't... then I"ll def go to those generals.
Also Rumpy and blueteam, you both make very valid points, about why I could go discard, and why I shouldn't. I might have to actually remove the discard though, and like you said stumpy... yes go unconventional means. I'm finding the discard isn't helping enough, as it's not punishing enough for them. Even if I add in a couple more cards... at this point.. I should just be running a nekusar, etc. While not saying it can't be done... it's going to probably deviate from what I need to do to much. I'm gonna be playing tonight in a little bit and hitting up comments so you guys know I'm legit reading and taking the advice. Also that rule of law doe.... hmmmm that is pretty nice to slow it down.... let me set up shop... but I might need more activated abilities to make use of it.
So please do keep it coming, and I am most grateful. I still also need to redo this list and make it a lot easier to digest (for me as well... but to help others see what is going on... more constructive criticism the better... and if I can make it easier to help you help me... so be it.)

No problem, just want to stress if that is the direction he intends to focus it then they will be very helpful in that instance. Making your opponents make hard decisions is always fun and it can help if more discard is added or be lackluster and not do enough as is.

Lol... ya so much playing today.... so many things I gotta work on... and gotta decide on... I'm gonna work on rebuilding the face page so it's not as bad to look at while thinking about it.
Btw... I noticed after idk... my 10th time playing this deck... token producers, draw, and just I need much better synergy lol overall. Lol but I expected this a bit. I came up with the deck as a brew, and now it's testing and stream-lining time.
A couple cards that are getting cut for sure (might go back if things change again)
Imposing Sovereign - Lack luster.... Probably gonna be Dark Confidant. I don't really have anything to keep them locked down... so it's like a band-aid on a large wound.... lawl why bother? I need better card draw... and in the 2 drop slot I can't really think of anything better to take her place... I mean really. My curve is pretty decent... I shouldn't get blown out unless it's Iona.
Spirit Bonds - I was over-extending on this one... it seems good right? I make spirits with daxos, I protect daxos, or Iona, etc.... WAIT WTF>>> Why was I trying this hard to make it fit... I don't cast really any creatures, and I also gotta have the spirit out in play.... soooo again I was trying to hard to make it work, and nothing to work with it. This will be replaced by another enchantment... but what? idk yet. Luminarch Ascension, Dark Prophecy.
Lightning Greaves - no one really seems to care about daxos...... sooooo why bother, and he doesn't need the haste... so I can play enchantments that do the same thing for him... and proc his age counters too.
Trust me, this deck is still not set in stone. The problem I am having is trying to go which way and stay that way. Do I go the humility, parallax, opalescence route? Or just play humility cause..... yolo, TAKE THAT CREATURE COMBO DECKS!
Oooh and ya... Ravages of war haha... maybe one day...... (it's already planned on my next years tax season
Nether Void - I'm trying to pick one up currently.... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut he's being a ***** about trades right now
Sun Titan - I TRY SO HARD TO FIT THIS GUY IN HERE.... BUT WHERE AND WHAT IS GOING OUT ; ; ..... that's why starfield of nyx is in there... Opalescence + sun titanesque.
Toxic Deluge - That's a big no for me. I'm a big fan of running to 1 health with no ****s given, cause health is asset, but god damn I go so low already in this deck a lot already... I'm gonna probably run wrath of god though.
Death Cloud - suggest to me a card for this and why to remove that card.... I'm at ends to remove ***** to add ***** atm. I really should be playing this... I thought pox at one point too.
Anguished unmaking/vindicate - probably can only fit one tbh.
ALSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I feel this deck doesn't have enough token producers.... should I throw in the other Elspeths? Ik daxos makes tokens tooooooo, but still feels like times are *feelsbadman* when I need more tokens.
Well if you are planning on running more Planeswalkers then Contagion Engine helps your game plan there and it can also increase the number of experience counters you have on yourself.
That's something I thought about numerous times Darkling... but I'm not really sure. I actually thought about running the smaller version though, cause it comes down for 2 instead of the HOLY 6 MANA BATMAN ... but ya no it's on my radar if I legit add more planeswalkers... which could happen. I already have 3 in here.

- Having Ravages of War helped me increase my chances of drawing into a must needed MLD.
- I do not like Starfield. "Creatures" get killed a lot easier. Bounced, wiped, exiled. Enchantments are harder and boardwipes for them are expensive or only hit a select few.
- Sun Titan: replace bloodghast. Yes, it is great to discard, but he works better with sac outlets (Contamination - yes I know you already have smokestack).
- Toxic Deluge is worth it. Gets around hexproof, shroud, and indestructible. You don't have a lot of board wipes (no Wrath of God, Austere Command, etc).
- Fit Anguished in.
