Nice list under your favorite combos section you have both the Niv-Mizzet's listed you can't play them together as they are both the same legend, playing one kills them both.
Deck looks like its a lot fun to play. I imagine it constantly cycling through cards and just generating tons of mayhem. If you ever find that you are drawing more cards then you want I suggest taking a look at Words of Wind and Words of War.

That isn't true. Legendary creatures are sacced as SBE's if and only if they both share the exact same name. Dracogenius and firemind don't. Planeswalkers are sacced if they are the same type (jace, chandra, gideon).
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?

Yes as Glimyrpost mentioned, they do not have exactly the same name and that is the check regarding legends.

I actually have a Words of War that I used to run but I find the card+1 damage is better. Words of Wind is a good suggestion though, especially with the box in play.

Looking over the want list you have, there are quite a few cards on there. Do you already have an idea in mind as to what you would be replacing as they came in, or are you mostly just replacing as you go?
Current Commander's:

It is definitely a replace as I go type of scenario but there are certainly some creatures and spells that I find lacking. Notably the Hypersonic Dragon and Spellbound Dragon , for spells Frantic Search.

Crab Umbra -> Time Stretch
Because I am typically mana flush late game. and extra turns are better than multiple untaps on Niv. Of all the cuts made today, this was the hardest.
Hey Rowan, thanks for the reply. I appreciate the card suggestions and how your choices are all budget friendly-ish. I used to run Careful Study/Faithless Looting before I had this deck listed here but replaced them with other spells. Time Reversal and Winds of Change I had not considered and they seem to be exactly what I am looking for.
I have indeed looked at your primer and it is certainly fantastic and detailed. The large number of creatures in this deck are a "plan b" choice I made because my meta playgroup runs a lot of "tuck into deck" effects and we play with original non-french rules.

Why on earth would you do that??!! *gasp* These are all awesome cards to have in the first few turns (the most crucial part of the game) and help give you that little extra boost or recover from a bad mulligan. They are even good late game!

To me that sounds like an argument NOT to use more creatures. In my experience permanents are apt to be removed very quickly if they are any threat at all. My deck is capable of winning without Niv ever seeing the table, and often does. He's a bit high in CMC and color heavy.
You don't need a plan B with lots of draw. Drawing cards is never situational because it's card advantage. Your creatures could easily be dead cards in your hand depending on the stage of the game. IMO, Izzet especially Niv-Mizzet is all about hand control and hand superiority.
My favorite win condition of all time is Dream Halls + Mindmoil + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. It totally transcends the idea of drawing cards and using mana to cast them. You have your entire deck at your disposal for free. It IS an infinite combo though.
Today I also entirely re-sleeved. Ultrapro Mattes are out. These are now Dragon Shields on top of KMC perfect fits. The above picture is after squishing it for a while so the tower would not topple. I wasn't sure I would get it back into my deck case!
I did.

Very nice! I love that deck box! I have a black ultra pro semi hard plastic case and gold dragon shields. The box works fine but is missing the Izzet symbol! I also like the transparent look of your box.
I ought to take some pics of my deck to put in my primer. That's a good idea!
As for the deck. Glad you decided to add in Faithless Looting and Careful Study again. IMO you can never have enough of these kinds of cards for a combo deck. They do wonders for consistency and speed.
Looks good, man! I will likely double sleeve my decks as soon as the KMC mattes are in stock. Pretty expensive venture to do the whole cube but I think it'll be worth it with the number of foils and expensive cards in it.

Why no Psychosis Crawler? In multiplayer games it is bonkers, especially if you land Mindmoil, being able to kill everyone at once has proven extremely useful to me.. Not to mention he is hilarious if you "clone" or Rite of Replication him (I have had 6 copies of him in play before, just casting Wheel of Fortune to kill a table is fun times
Decklist last updated 02/28/2013
The Firemind, without the Curiosity or Ophidian Eye infinite damage combos. I found them unfun, but keep them nearby incase of competitive play.
My metagame is 4p.
Many cards still on my want list (due to budget) but I am very happy with the deck in general (lol, get it?).
Comments and suggestions welcome and encouraged!

Multani, Maro-Sorcerer - Group Hug
Aurelia, the Warleader - Multi-Attack step aggro

Played yesterday 4p FFA vs Zur, kiki-jiki and Elesh Norn.
Got Rhystic Study out early and was able to draw into Tezzeret, the Seeker and set up fast. Set up a board with Teferi's Puzzle Box on the table and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind equipped with Basilisk Collar and Swiftfoot Boots, then I used Control Magic on Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Unfortunately this left my tapped out (and having already played my force of will) when the kiki-jiki player plays an All is Dust.
Then the Elesh Norn player plays a Serra Avatar and the Zur player makes it unblockable and it swings at me for the kill.

Izzet Keyrune -> Mana Vault
Better ramp that Tezzeret can fetch for cheaper and then untap.
Gemstone Array -> Sensei's Divining Top
Because I finally got one.
Staff of Nin -> Simian Spirit Guide
Fast mana over late game draw.
Crab Umbra -> Time Stretch
Because I am typically mana flush late game. and extra turns are better than multiple untaps on Niv. Of all the cuts made today, this was the hardest.
Izzet Charm -> Starstorm
Trade Secrets -> Blasphemous Act
More board wipes were needed.
Devastation Tide -> Evacuation
Instant speed is better and I get to keep my artifacts on the field.
Volition Reins -> Wurmcoil Engine
For 6 cmc I would rather just have my own Wurmcoil.
Talrand, Sky Summoner -> Balefire Dragon
Balefire play tested amazingly with Basilisk Collar and Loxodon Warhammer.
Mercurial Chemister -> Godo, Bandit Warlord
Wanted for the equipment fetch.
Jace's Archivist -> Consecrated Sphinx
Card draw without the discard, plus a beast in the air.
Jhoira of the Ghitu -> Venser, Shaper Savant
Jhoira was proving to be too slow, Venser is Amazing.

Some cards you might consider: Time Reversal, Winds of Change, Incendiary Command, Shattering Spree, Recurring Insight, Thought Reflection, Faithless Looting, Careful Study, Tolaria West, Inner Fire, and Dream Halls among others.
Take a look at my primer for further info.

The Warhammer was just "win more" lately and rarely helped early game. Godo was primarily used to fetch equipment.Acquire will allow me to go steal your equipment/Wurmcoil Engine/Blightsteel Colossus. The deadeye will allow for shenanigans with Venser, Trinket Mage, etc. Also able to blink to save Niv.
Wurmcoil Engine -> Careful Study
Balefire Dragon -> Faithless looting
Doing this as Rowan suggested. Balefire has been great but out of the theme. Removing the Wurmcoil is painful as I just added it, but I feel better because I am currently building another deck.
Lonely Sandbar -> Island
Forgotten Cave -> Mountain
These were too slow and I was NEVER cycling them.

I am very happy to add the bluffs and reef and the choice to keep basics over these two is still something I am unsure of.
The loothouse has on occasion been used but I rarely find I have the spare mana to use it and for only generating colorless I need a better ability.
The depths is really only helpful t1 and too slow for a mid game draw. I am replacing it for the same reason I replaced the cycling lands.
