This is an idea a few of us have been kicking around for a while now. It’s actually a pretty good way to play agro in EDH without mass land destruction. Sadly infect seems to be about as hated as Armageddon… but whatever.
The game plan is to drop a little guy for 3-4 mana and then back him up with evasion and damage enhancers. A turn 2 Lost Leonin looks like nothing but if he swings with a sword it’s a 3 turn clock. If you have Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer on the table he’s a 2 turn clock. Add haste to get through all the damage you can. Add Warstorm Surge and Pandemonium to infect players directly.
It does okay in 4 player games, but it can be tough.
Cards that can probably get the axe:
- So far I haven’t needed the resurrection cards like Sun Titan and Reveillark so they might get cut.
- Boros Keyrune isn’t on theme, but it is sort of nice to have him as a backup plan. And yes, with a Sword he’s really really good.
- Hall of the Bandit Lord coming in tapped pretty much puts me a turn behind so that haste isn’t really helpful in most cases.
- Palladium Myr is nice to power out the mid-game plays but is also a little slow.
I really like Urabrask for both of his abilities in this deck, so maybe drop Reveillark for him. And if you lose Sun Titan maybe stick another wrath in the deck, Catastrophe perhaps so if you're in a good position you can also just blow the lands.

Okay so... I dropped Reveillark for Urabrask, kicked Chrome Mox out for Mox Diamond (Nice artifact deck dumbass), and then took out Warhammer for Sword of Body and Mind. They serve a similar purpose but being able to drop a dude on the board seems good when tapping out and swinging every turn is the game plan.

Soul's Fire is reach on demand so you can use it tactically to poke someone out of the game. I think that adds a lot of value with how easy it is to pull off.
Took out Godo and added Soul's Fire. When I told the guy at the shop that it was for an infect EDH deck he told me that I was cheesy for playing infect.

Ask what sort of innovative, spectacular, awe-inspiring deck he's playing next time. I'm sure it will humble you with its flair.

WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
Soul's Fire is also great with infect.

WUBRG Some of these decks can actually win games...WUBRG
How I know I should build a deck:
Because I forgot to put it in there. But Hall of the Bandit Lord should come out for that when I can find one

I told you Soul's Fire was sick.
