This is my first competitive deck I have have had fun building. I play it in my local play group, with a bit of luck, but I am always looking to improve it.
What is your fatty curve like? One thing I realized in building the deck is how important that curve really is. 5-6 is really good, 7 is fine, and 8 and above is where things get suboptimal. I know this because I also know someone who built this deck through inspiration of mine and he has more 8-drops. He stumbles more because of it. He used to run Eldrazi before taking them out because of this problem. (Although I'm pretty okay with Artisan. 9 is a big difference from 10 or 11. Also a minor upside of Eldrazi is that they don't add devotion)
It means that once you slam down Xenagod, you want to start dropping big guys immediately. This is why in my build I prioritized six-drops like Inferno Titan and Wurmcoil Engine. I also tend to avoid running too much stuff without evasion unless it's so good when you give it trample. Cards like Hydra Omnivore and Malignus
Malignus is seriously pretty stupid in this deck.
Next, color weight is something to consider in this deck. You don't want Xenagod as a creature most of the time because then it opens him up to creature removal or worse, theft. Hence instead of Gratuitous Violence I try similar stuff like Berserkers' Onslaught or World at War. In recent testing, I've actually really liked the latter.
Archetype of Aggression is neat but I'd heavily advise against playing it if you're often up against clones. Although you could say the same for Urabrask.
This deck goes nuts with creature based card draw. Run more of it. Cards like Momentous fall and Greater Good are your best friends here. You do have Primal Hunter but you simply want more of it. In my testing, Life's Legacy was the worst of the cards due to being a sac at sorcery speed. All the other sorcery speed ones don't require sacrifice.
If you're heavy on the extra attack steps, Savage Ventmaw is the nuts. His power to cost ratio is the worst of all the fatties in a Xenagod deck, but his attack trigger is so good that you sometimes kill people with him anyway!
Lastly, you probably want some tutorable yard hate. Scavenging Ooze is the nuts here because all your tutors can fetch it and it's not a dead card even when there's no need to hate graveyards. It's a 2 drop that will grow into a big body that can either pressure players or act as a conduit to your card draw.

I added some counter-counter spells in the latest rendition, taking out Steel Hellkite, Nature's Lore, Tempt with Discovery, Vandalblast, Forgestoker Dragon, and Gruul Turf. I've also been lucky enough to pull an Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and have been wondering if it is worth adding to the deck.
The idea is not so much budget, but also not going crazy on spending money on cards, such as Berserk.
Any advice is well appreciated . And maybe it may help others build an Aggro deck around Xenagos.
