I am relatively new to MTG in terms of building/constructing decks. My friend made me a Savara, Queen of the Golgari deck list for EDH. I asked him because well.. I can't build a deck to save my life. The decks rough cost is going to be around $250-300 for the total amount of cards (including side) that I am going to be getting. My main question, is the deck worth building for the price I'm paying, is it competitive for local play, is the deck strong enough to stand up to 3+ decks in FFA. I must apologize ahead of time, I don't know how to tag cards in this, so if I will go back and edit the tags once I get some help on that.
I've already got the list priced out and the local shop I'm buying it from is giving me a great deal on the cards, so I'm going to spend no more than $350 on the entire thing (considering that's what it's worth or not..) So, basically I'm asking the following questions:
-Is it strong enough to be competitive in 3+ FFA
-Is it worth the price that I am paying for it?
-Is there any changes that should be made, or cards that just aren't worth being in the deck in general?
-If the price exceeds my previous expectations, what could I take out and put in to act as a replacement?
Without further rambling.. here is the list!

P.S. I'm not "definitely" building this deck. There are other generals I want to try out, but again.. No idea how to build decks so I need further advice..
The other generals I wanted to try out include:
-Azusa
-Arcum Dagsson
-Rhys the Redeemed
Are any of these generals stronger than Savara?
Would they offer a funner play style to the deck itself than Savara?
How would I go about starting to build MY OWN edh deck with one of these other generals?
go to b/g color combination and look at other people's Savra decks or look at other generals and see what people have done with them.
After a quick glance it looks like your curve is pretty high. I'd suggest adding in lots of ramp. Around 12-ish ramp spells should be good. Savra is also best as a sac deck or a stax deck. So I'd also try to add more sac outlets. You can never have too many. I'm not the best at evaluating other people's decks, I can only offer general advice.
I will try that, and I hate to sound like a noob here but... What do you mean by the terms "Ramp" and "Stax" ? Never heard them used in my locals. And I have had a few events around where I'm from that use Sides in EDH it's 1v1 best of 3 matches, siding after first game. I didn't realize it was so different around the areas.

Ramp is either using cards like Cultivate/Sakura Tribe Elder to get more land out than the normal 1 per turn or using artifact/creature mana sources to generate more mana than usual.
Stax is a form of control via permanent attrition.
sorry with the magic lingo. Like Jivan said ramp means playing spells that will put more than 1 land on the battlefield each turn. I like ramp that does more than bring just one land into play. In your deck you'll probably want to have lots of creatures that don't mind dying. Sakura tribe elder, dawntreader elk, and even fertilid should be ok since they ramp, but also act as blockers and can help progress your strategy. Things that make your opponents sacrifice creatures when they die are key to your deck. Things like Grave pact, slum reaper, fleshbag marauder, and Butcher of Malikir.
Savra can be very good, but it is better one on one than for multiplayer. A Savra deck will be a target from early on and graveyard hate will really mess it up.
Also, Primeval Titan is banned in multiplayer and you need more good sacrifice targets like alblaster has pointed out.
I'm gonna try and get a new general then, I'm pretty much trying to get a deck that I can combo with, not overpowered (like hermit) but really fun to play. Kind of like Arcum Dagsson. I know this might be frowned upon.. but basically, I'm trying to learn the mechanics of magic decks so I can start building my own. If I post links, would people on this forum be able to give me helpful advice on the deck knowing that I give credit to the person that created it? I love Arcum's effect, he looks REALLY fun because he can just kill off an artifact that you don't need, and get ones that you need.
Maybe you can assist me to find out what kind of deck would suite me the best.
My goals in playing casual FFA for EDH.
-I want to have fun, I don't want a deck that is completely over powered that will gurantee a win every game, but at the same time, I don't want to lose every game either.
-I want a good general that has synergy with the deck, and can combo out (like Arcum) but I don't want a full blown out combo deck.
-I want presence on the board, creatures or tokens, doesn't matter.
-I want to be a "hidden threat" kind of thing. I'm not sure if you will understand, but let me try to explain.. I want to do things but not draw aggro, have things on the board that, at the time, don't threaten the board, but over the course of playing 2 or 3 more cards, I will immediately become a threat, but have a solid defense. (I will try to explain it more if you still don't understand.. Bad at explaining magic terms >.< lol)
-I want to be able to produce tons of mana. Utilizing Artifacts such as the mox set (opal, chrome, diamond, etc if they are needed in the deck), sol ring, everflowing chalice, etc.
From my experience in playing, I want a control deck, something that goes from Blue with counter spells, but also produces a lot of mana and has a good presence on the board. I'm thinking something Artifact related such as Arcum, but I'm not sure if that's my playstyle or not.
Thanks for the help so far!
P.S.
What about Azusa? I hear she can drop mana like no other deck. Can she be utilized around elves, or something similar, spamming creates and tokens because I have tons of mana.
One last question, to make a GOOD competitive EDH deck like I've described above, what am I looking at spending? I need to figure out some sort of budget for the decks I'm trying to build.
It sounds like you want a casual deck that wins by combo, but is not an over powered combo deck and you want the deck to be competitive? Sounds like conflicting terms, but oh well.
I am no combo expert, but pretty much any color combination can combo out from disgustingly powerful to impractical. So do you want a control combo deck? What color/colors do you want?
I have a Saffi, Eriksdotter deck that I guess you could say is a combo/control deck. When the deck is ready to win it will vomit creatures on the field with Avenger of Zendikar and win with Craterhoof Behemoth. It also has lots of removal mostly in the form of creatures that I can keep getting back with recursion and with Saffi herself. Creature based combo decks are great because people don't usually like to attack the player with creatures who can block. They can buy you time until you win.
Azusa isn't a combo deck or a control deck for that matter. She vomits lands very fast and in the mid-late game she can accrue insane card advantage by utilizing card draw engines and more ramp. She can often get to the point where no one can stop her because she's gained so much card advantage. Her weakness is decks with lots of removal. Azusa is very dependent on her card drawing engines. If Azusa keeps getting blown up with her engines she will be weakened significantly. My experience is if people underestimate her early game she can easily dominate the game. If the table knows what she can do she often is the first to die as the game quickly becomes 3v1.
I want a competitive deck that I can play in casual, yeah it's kind of conflicting, but my main goal is I want this deck to be competitive. I wont be able to enter any tourneys becuase they conflict with my work schedule as of right now x.x... So until then I just want a casual deck I can get into and learn in and out, then start playing comp at my locals. How competitive is Arcum? I know I've mentioned him a lot, but I haven't really asked at all. I will check out Saffi and Eriksdotter and see if I'm a fan of the generals or not. Are either of them competetive?
EDIT:
I didn't realize Saffi Eriksdoctor was a single card haha. I'm not a big fan of her effect, she doesn't scream my play style.
Currently, I have a niv-mizzet firemind deck, it doesn't have that much synergy, but I want to change that around a bit and make a new deck. How does this deck look? I grabbed it from a user named ApollotheUnlimited. I want to take some of these cards from it, and maybe put some more combos, let me know what you think about this deck?

they can be. Blue generals are generally known to be competitive generals. Arcum is generally very competitive. I don't know exactly what the deck does, but I know it can combo out pretty fast or lock the board down. Any general that also tutors almost always makes it competitive. You can ramp into that general and make sure the deck is consistent and have what you want when you want it.
My Saffi, Eriksdotter deck abuses enter the battlefield abilities. I made the deck to discourage board wipes, but you can use sac outlets to make more enter the battlefield triggers. So you know cards like Woodfall Primus, Terastodon, Karmic Guide, Reveilark, Solemn Simulacrum, eternal witness and Avenger of Zendikar? Imagine if those enter the battlefield abilities could be reused over and over. It can get out of hand fast with the right cards. Saffi will never really die as long as you have Karmic guide, reveilark, or Sun titan. They keep bringing the other one back to the battlefield. What I also like about Saffi is that she can sac herself in response to removal, tuck or theft and that she costs so little.
If G/W interest you a more competitive general is Captain Sisay. Remember how tutor generals are pretty dangerous? She can do all sorts of mean things.
You said you wanted something blue with lots of ramp. It sounds like you might be interested in the Green and blue color combination. Green is the best at ramp while blue is the best at card draw and counters. Do the math and it can be pretty potent. Edric, Spymaster is the popular choice for this. You fill the deck with small dudes and just keep attacking, drawing cards, playing more dudes, and ramping until you win with extra turns or some infinite combo. He is know as a competitive general and tends to see more play in 1v1 than in multiplayer.
I like Sisay a lot, she looks really fun. I might try to come up with something with her. I'm also partial to Blue, so I might actually make the Arcum deck and then have that be my competitive deck. I want to make another but there are so many that I want to make x.x.... lol. Is there a FREE online magic game? I've looked at Magic Workshop and MTGO and both of them cost $ and I don't really want to pay to play. The deck below was made from a friend of mine, he made me Arcum and Savara. He just told me that the Savara deck was better, but Arcum suited my style better. How is the deck below?
@arsonisfun - I'm trying to stick around the Blue/whatever colors, I like the versatility of blue, and the power that it can offer. I'm going to try out Arcum Dagsson, but I want to make sure that I will have a strong deck to start. Before I actually spend money on the cards.
whatever you do make sure you have a theme for your deck. What do you want it do? Most importantly how do you want to win? When you know you can build your deck around those ideas. I use Cockatrice for my free online magic-ing. Go to cockatrice.de and download it to your computer. I'd pick a deck, try it and see if you like it. If you do make adjustments as you need to. There is no one perfect deck. Build the deck to suit your needs and good luck.
