I'm working on a deck that isn't combo for my store's EDH league that's getting started. This is the first draft of this deck and I honestly don't see too much getting changed, but I figured I'd still post here for advice. Main idea of the deck being to kill with general damage, which just so happens to have a double purpose with Omnath which is very nifty.
I would replace most of the artifact mana a.k.a. coalitin relic, the lotus and ingot with land ramp like, explosive vegetation, skyshroud Claim, reap and sow is amazing to gank annoying lands and fetch your gaea's cradle, I would remove all the universal card draw, looking at you howling mine. Where are the Garruks? gotta have my PW's! Toss in a Fireshrieker for some fun. Greater Good best green card draw ever made. Sakiko seems like win-more for it's CMC. Toss in a Regal Force, no Avenger of Zendikar? No Worldly Tutor, Time of Need. Add in Melira, Sylvok Outcast and a sac outlet and you have board clearing combo with the primus. For the grand Finale, the proverbial nail in the coffin Ritual of Subdual has caused many a opponent to scoop. Hope these ideas help! =)
I don't think I'll be taking out the Gilded Lotus, it's just too good even in green, but the rest will go out in favor of actual ramp spells. (Except Sol Ring of course, same reason as Lotus)
I have no plans on getting a Gaea's Cradle atm, a little expensive for my tastes, and the deck also doesn't play very many little creatures to get the most out of it. Same goes for Regal Force.
I've been considering the tutors and I'm thinking that Green Sun's and Chord of Challing fill the same role but are better. I suppose a third tutor wouldn't be bad though. (And I do have one anyways)
I don't want any combos in this deck because the playgroup is casual, so no Melira+Persist or Ritual of Subdual. (Ritual's not a combo I know, but it's essentially a Winter Orb lock which is just as bad.)
I don't know why, but for some reason I'm just a fan of the Howling Mine effects, so they're going to stay in for now.

2 cards I recommend to Omnath players are Vedalken Orrery and Vernal Equinox. You really don't want Omnath killed off while You have a lot of mana stored if You don't have a way to get Him back down. These 2 help with that a lot
