I’ve noticed that Arena has a rather uncanny ability to lose my connection in the middle of a match at important moments in a game. Sometimes, I’ll lose my connection and can quickly re-enter the match. Other times, I’m completely logged out and have to go through the entire log-in process eating up precious time-outs in the process. It’s never really at the same time either. For instance, it might happen during my untap step putting me at risk for skipping my turn. Or it might happen after my opponent declares attackers but before I can declare blockers.
I’m growing suspicious of the timing, and in some cases, the actions of my opponent afterwards. In one match, immediately after it happened, my opponent began slow playing causing the match to stretch out for 45 minutes. In another, I started seeing graphic glitches, buttons with no text, cards missing artwork, etc.
Interestingly, I haven’t seen any evidence of my opponents getting disconnected in the last two weeks. Though, I have seen it happen to my opponent in the past. My point is, there seems to be a bit of a disparity between the number of times I believe my opponent loses their connection to the times I’ve lost my own connection.
Yeah I've had disconnections too. Sometimes I can get back in, just like you, but others it seems the server has taken away bandwidth from my area (or something that effects me anyway), as I'm unable to log back in.
