This thread is for the discusion of U/x Faeries. UR and UG example list are below. No other color combinations made 4-2 or better in the modern segment of worlds.
In life all we can do is try to make things better. Sitting lost in old ways and fearing change only makes us outdated and ignorant.
Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.
Albert Einstein
Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
So, basically, this is the discussion place for UG Aggro Fae, UR Fae Twin, and UR Tempo Fae?
Awesome.
Just started this because of the worlds decks. This might get moved to developing competitive because the Fae threads on there are really old and don't have real decklist.

I definitely dig the u/r fae lists. I've been testing decks like that since mid-October and they're quite fun to play.
One thing I've been thinking about alot is Remand vs Mana Leak in this deck. Remand is great as a tempo card, as it lets you continue to cast spells and not fall into topdeck mode as quickly, and it's great vs spells that cost 3 or more. But mana leak can get rid of a threat permanently, and is considerably better against removal spells.
Thoughts?

Moved because it reflects the current state of Fae better than the other decks in DC.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

The U/R Fae looks pretty solid. You don't have to use the splinter twins just for the combo, you can throw it on a Spellstutter Sprite and get a free counter every turn.

or a snapcaster mage , or a mistbind clique(which I find effin hilarious)

If you put a splinter twin on Vendilion Clique, the jokes on you.
EDIT: I suppose Snapcaster Mage would work, but you need spells in your graveyard first, and Mistbind Clique would be the best possible target, besides Pestermite.

that is right my bad I always forget that it is legendary because the name isn't very legendary. Still using it on mistbind when you have another faerie in play is silly.

Also, I've been considering playing Punishing Groves even though it's quite slow, or maindecking a couple tectonic edges. We don't have a good way to fight the engine so either having it ourselves so we don't fall behind on board so quickly to zoo or jund, or having a way to deal with it better should give the deck a little bit better positioning.

I believe I like mana leak better in your deck. You really need a catch all real counterspell if your going to run spell snare.

I've been playing a RU Faerie list inspired by the one's that placed at Worlds and I cannot for the life of me figure out how this deck placed outside of blind luck. Any tips on how to play this deck would be super because I'm doing horrible.

I can't even look at Fae without Bitterblossom. I know they can still function without it, but the shadow of it's previous power will always cloud my opinion.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

your guess is just as good as mine TBQH. I just posted this thread because no one had yet. I don't think most of the decks that "showed up" at worlds are really playable. I mean if you went 4-2 or 5-3(ect) in a PTQ you wouldn't make top 8(or 16 possibly).
I had a friend who went to a 10-12 round(swiss) GP he barely made top 8 as a x/3.
I've played in a PTQ where x/2 or x/1/1 didn't make top 8. 4-2 is a terrible cut off, but had they not started it there we would have had like 3-4 decks lol.

It seems kinda playable at least nah, the deck is so good.
why the silly arrangement of removal spells. I mean smother is better than all of them. List looks really meh.

Again, someone posts a deck that top 8s in a larger tourny and some feel the need to tear it apart. I am thinking nothing will please some.
Looking at the list, I would refine my instant removal/counters and only run maybe 2 swords main with the other 2 in the board. With no way to tutor for the sword you needit just seems like a better plan, plus it opens up 2 slots for more removal or counters.
The deck seems like a good spot to start and work from. I personally really like the idea of Mistbind and Mimic Vat. But, adding Mimic vat means opening up at least 3 spots for it. Might not be good enough, especially if this build can work.
I don't understand that list. Why so many discard spells? Why 1 of each sword? Why only 1 cryptic command? Could use some refining, alot of the card choices don't make any sense to me.
