I sold my collection to MTGOTraders last week and my experience was fantastic. They responded to my sell inquiry fairly quickly (even on a weekend night!) and took care of getting my collection fast. I opted for getting a check instead of using and that came with no problems. Very trustworthy, professional team here. Can't recommend them enough!
just made a rather large movement of an mtgo account to MTGOTraders Inc, and I could not be happier. They were super quick to respond (the gentleman that handled my order's name was Gustavo. good value, very friendly, and very professional. will definitely do business with this group again!
Also just sold my MTGO collection. Really surprised at how quick everything went. I expected it to at least take a week or 2 (it being an international transaction et al.) but no such thing. Asked them to buy my collection on monday, confirmation next day, collection sold on wednesday and money was in my account on thursday. I'd recommend them to everyone who is thinking about selling.
I had a mediocre experience selling cards in comparison to the above posts.
The good: Fast and easy, discount codes! 20% bonus to mtgotraders credits and 8% discount with a code so 28% total.
The bad: Failed to e-mail me before sending payment, No equal trade for MTGO tickets from bot credits.
I received a gift certificate to mtgotraders, and would have liked to trade that for tickets, however the only way to get tickets from a bot is by using bot credits. While bot credits are slightly lower than $1 each, it takes 1.5 bot credits to get 1 ticket, so even though there is a 28% bonus in total, to transfer it too tickets is %50 more, so that would result in a 22% loss in cash value to tickets. I ended up just using the gift certificate to get cards which were reasonably priced, rather than going through the hassle of more e-mails to get things sorted out more to my liking.
I personally don't think that it is good business practice to just send a payment before a final deal has been made by default. I personally think that the default should be to send a final offer to see if the seller accepts that offer before sending a payment, which assumes that the seller is going to accept it. In reality, when doing business, both parties agree to a final price before the deal is made.
Overall I'm glad to have a place to trade paper for online magic, and there really aren't many other options that I have found to do this, other than selling cards on ebay and then using the money from paypal to buy tickets. Selling a bunch of cards on ebay would be a hassle which is why I didn't do it. With Capefear you can just send in a collection all at once to one address.
Some of the cards that were graded lower I would have likely have requested to be sent back to me, but now I fear they are mixed in with others and I would just get a random card that was graded the same. (I could have sold the lower graded ones on ebay for quite a bit more).
Well that is my experience selling cards to Capefear, and if I had to give them a rating I would say 3.5 out of 5.
I just finished selling my MTGO account to MTGOTraders; all I do is draft, phantom and Momir. The transaction was very smooth. Their communication was excellent. I initially requested a check via mail, but it was taking awhile for it to arrive. I asked them to check on it, and they replied quickly, and offer to reissue the check or send funds via PayPal instead. Despite the slight delay, they remained very professional. I'm not done with MODO, and I will likely deal continue to deal with MTGOTraders. I definitely recommend dealing with them in the future.
Sold my medium-sized collection to these guys a couple of days ago, and today the deposit cleared in my checking account. It was a positive experience, quicker and easier than I expected. Sent a CSV of my collection to a few of the big sites, they guys came back the next day with the highest offer. I accepted and an hour later I got an email saying the cards have been transferred and payment sent. Would recommend to anybody looking to sell.
Thumbs up to Mtgo Traders, I sold my online pauper collection to them today. The quote came back quickly, the transfer of cards and funds were done the same day I replied to the quote I was given. I also got a quote from Cardhoarder that was the exact same amount (I also used the Cardhoarder selling guide to get info about selling my collection). When I played I often used their bots and never had issues with price or supply which is why I went with the MTGO Traders account.
Yes this is my first post on MTG Salvation and yes they asked me to leave them a review.
If I ever get sucked back into MTGO I will go back to them.
Just sold my MTGO collection to MTGOtraders. Yes they did prompt me to leave a review here, but I would have left one anyways because the transaction was so very smooth. I got a quote back promptly, and the quote was much better than the four other vendors I approached. It was a large collection, but there was no difficulties with receiving the payment (I chose PayPal) or transferring the collection. I would definitely recommend these guys if you're looking to cash out of MTGO.
Just dropping in to give some positive feedback! I decided to jump onboard the Arena train this weekend and sell my MTGO collection. I received a quote very quickly, and within 24 hours of accepting the quote, the funds were transferred into my checking account. Gustavo was efficient and honest. Great service!
I have now sold MTGO cards to MTGOTraders/Cape Fear Games twice now. Both times I opted for a check in the mail as my form of payment. Both times my check arrived in 3-4 business days after MTGOTraders purchased my cards. The transactions were extremely easy and quick! Within a day of submitting my cards for appraisal, I heard back from the manager with a very good price and within an hour of accepting his offer my cards were collected by the MTGOTraders' bots and my check was on its way! The sales manager is extremely responsive and professional and their purchasing system is absolutely fantastic. After having cards appraised across multiple vendors, MTGOTraders always gave me the highest price. If you have MTGO cards to sell I would recommend always using MTGOTraders.
