I had an unfortunate situation one time where a mail carrier stole my mail. My order from troll and toad worth $60 was in that delivery. I was told the post office would do nothing about it. I contacted Troll and Toad and they got in contact with the USPS and they had told them the same thing. Troll and Toad had confirmation on the package and the package said it was delivered to my house. They were in the free and clear they didn't have to do anything. However They gave me 20 dollars in store credit so I could replace my order. They also Didn't send 3 Leylines to me recently that I had ordered. They then with just an E-mail, responded by sending me my cards. They are the best Online store IMHO.
That is unfortunate, and I would hate to be in that position as well. I used to be a letter carrier for the USPS, and it wasn't uncommon at all for packages to get lost in the mail (as stereotypical as that sounds). I doubt the mail carrier actually stole your package. When an employee leaves the post office, it's pretty damn impossible to take anything home with you that a manager, or other carrier, wouldn't notice. Plus, out of all the packages we scan for our route, and subsequently deliver, if any were missing or lost, it would fall back on us, and at the end of the day the last thing you want is to have to deal with an angry manager/customer complaint. What most likely happened is that if the letter carrier placed it near your mail box or by your door (if it was too big for the box), someone might have just walked off with it. That happens a lot more than you would think.
Now back to the topic at hand! (Sorry if I ranted a little...)
I've ordered from Troll and Toad 4 times, and each time has been pleasant. A couple days ago, I ordered http://www.trollandtoad.com/p153261.html, and it took them a day after I purchased my order to ship it. I'm just assuming it took them a little while to assemble my order (in relation to everyone elses as well). On a side note, has anyone here ordered any amount of bulk random cards from TnT as well? I read all the reviews on their site, but I'd like to hear any opinions you guys might have as well.
I've ordered bulk from them once and it was alright, though i probably won't do it again. I bought a mix of 1000 cards, but 300 of them ended up being copies of the same three cards (crafty pathmage, counsel of the soratami, and contaminated bond. I got a ridiculous amount of red cards (maybe 20 white, 20 black (excluding contaminated bonds), and it was not uncommon to have 5-12 copies of the same card. I did get one rare though (Panglacial wurm) but it was just not what I was hoping for.
Beyond the bulk piles I've been very happy with T&T. Their rares pricing is very good, and I'm especially happy with their shipping rates. I have noticed that condition tends to be pretty bad, compared to other vendors though.
I had a bad experience with Troll and Toad about a year ago. I ordered a play-set of Exploration from them at the NM condition. They came shipped to me very warped.

I've bought from TNT extensively in the past (2-4 years ago). Back then, it was undoubtedly the cheapest place to get cards and they were good on conditions. 1-2 years ago, the condition guide they have is almost close to worthless, and I have had misrepresented cards shipped to me.
This will eventually be an issue if they are not focusing on selling their cards accurately.

I like designing decks and I am primarily a control player. Using Drain to fight Workshops is like using Exclude to fight Dark Confidant.
I'm having the exact same issue. Won a NM card on eBay through them (and it shows up on my current/past orders screen) which is actually quite played. I've sent messages via their site and eBay and haven't received anything back.
I'm honestly shocked at how unresponsive they are being. I've spent WAAAAAY too much money there over the years and the lack of customer service is quite offputting, almost to the point where I will never go back.
I'll give an update when I have a resolution. Hopefully someone is just on vacation/slow to respond and not that they just don't care anymore.
Well, after submitting multiple messages via eBay and their website, I have a partial resolution. I am sending my card back to get a replacement one that is truly NM. Hopefully this is almost done.
Let's just say communication could be improved for them. Via their website they responded after the second message (total of 5 days) but via eBay they responded 8 full days after the message was sent.
Honestly I'm on the verge of never ordering from them again.
I have had a couple of experiences with them. Both very good.
First, this past December they had prices of boxes for considerably cheaper. $82 for M11. $85 for RoE, Zen, & SoM. (And, for a time, $143.49 for WWK, but I did not purchase it.) I was also able to snag a couple Japanese Deckbuilder's Kits for $12.99.
Second, all products arrived in a timely fashion with absolutely nothing wrong.
Funny side note: After Christmas all product went up to more standard market prices. So they were the spot to shop if you wanted to hand out presents.

After 10 years of quitting, I'm back to my 2 pack a day habit.
I purchased 4 Razorverge Thickets from Troll and Toad last week and got shipped 4 (useless) Razorfield Threshers. I e-mailed them once, twice, THREE times and got no response. I promptly let them know that they lost my business. FYI y'all.

They should have a phone number on their website, so I would call instead of emailing them. This applies to all stores, as well. Anytime I've called any store, I've spoken directly to a member of their staff and had any issues sorted out right there on the phone...best way to handle it in my opinion. I don't really know what was said in your emails to them, but they should be able to resend you the correct cards if you call them and calmly explain the situation.
Bought three cards on eBay from T & T. Have had an unpaid item claim filed against me despite the fact that the only reason I've withheld payment is because the shipping cost hasn't been corrected to 99 cents as advertised. I've sent several messages without reply to get them to correct the shipping/handling and there's no way I'm calling USA from here - it'll cost a bomb.
Any ideas or advice? Similar experiences?
EDIT: This was all resolved fine by the seller. They corrected the shipping and handling the day before the case was due to close, so no problems.

I have a resolution! After talking to them on the phone, they refunded my money and wound up giving me the item for free. This was not expected but I am pleased that they gave me such a deal. I will be ordering from them again.
It sounds like this holiday season was rough on them and they are working as hard as possible to get every situation resolved.
So sure seems like T&T mis-priced a card of which they had over 80 in stock. The mis-price was significant... like <$1 when the card was worth ~$5 but incase others who might have purchased the same card didn't have a good experience, I'm not going to get into specifics.
I ordered 20 (again, could have ordered >80) along with a few other cards I was sitting on and they sent everything as described.
Figured I'd mention this and give T&T a thumbs up for honoring a "deal" - something many other sellers (especially large volume) seem not to comprehend. It is possible they were trying to liquidate this card which is why I ordered and figured if I didn't, someone else would. Nevertheless, I've had all good experiences except slow communication through eBay and a few Garruks that were graded in their favor.
Will buy from again and I recommend as long as you don't rely on PMs.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
I decided not to order from Troll today because their cheapest shipping option was around $10. I thought Troll's shipping used to be much cheaper? Anyone know any information about this?
I had tried to buy the faction packs

Beneath the Tangle, the wurm tunnels stretch . . . wide as a stone's throw, long as forever, deep as you dare.
Ordering singles from Troll and Toad is great. I've ordered about 10 times with them and it's hard to beat 3-day shipping for 99 cents (I live in USA).
One of my favorite places to buy singles, except don't buy common/uncommon cards form them as the lowest is 0.25 while other places sometimes have them for 0.05 and 0.10. Other than that, best place I've experienced to order cards.
I have ordered a number of singles recently from Troll and Toad and the 0.99c shipping is excellent. Their shipping used to be dreadfully expensive but they seem to have sorted that out and is now some of the best p&p value of all traders.
Oh and the 0.79c random Mythic rare special is great too! I know that I'm only going to get junk Mythic rares but at that price I can't complain.
Never had a issue with them so I'd give the a thumbs up.
i ordered off of ebay a couple weeks ago from T&T and got my package today. all the cards were described as NM, which based on their grading system is:
Near Mint:
General: A Near Mint card should look Mint but on closer inspection will have a minor flaw either on an edge, a corner, or its surface. A Near Mint card is allowed to have a few small dings or a small chip.
Corners: The corners on a Near Mint card should be crisp but one or two may have a small flaw such as a small ding.
Centering: A Near Mint card should be well centered.
Edges: The edges on a Near Mint card should be crisp, however they typically may have a small ding or two.
Surface: The surface of a Near Mint card should be very fresh looking but may have a tiny scratch.
Type of Card typically in this category: Any unplayed card straight from a pack that might have some flaws associated with handling of the card.
the card i ordered was enlightened tutor from mirage, and i was expecting it to arrive in as NM of shape as the revised regrowth and shadowmoor mana reflection they sent me, but the card is in terrible shape. the edges are completely whitened and it is, what i would call, moderatly played. I paid almost $11 for it before shipping, because i was expecting a NM card. i could have spent 6 or 7 on a MP card and been ok with the quality, but this is just unacceptable. has anyone had a similar experience? and what sort of response did you get from them? i messaged T&T already and told them i was not satisfied and explained i'd like an actual NM card, or would like to return it with a full refund. any help with this would be appreciated. thanks!
^^ This is the only problem I've ever really experienced with T&T. Fantastic everything else, but NM in their book is not NM in mine. For C/UC no biggie but $20+ staples it's kind of a pain to take the risk.

just thought i'd post what's happened since i posted this.
Larry, the internet marketing manager for T&T, saw my post in this thread and private messaged me his contact info with email address asking to contact him personally to resolve this. I emailed him and advised that i was upset that i paid for a NM card and didn't get one in return and either wanted a refund, or an actual NM card. He emailed me within 12 hrs and told me they didn't have any other tutors in stock from mirrage, so he couldn't replace it. He then told me i could keep the card, and he would credit my T&T acct with $15 and gave me the link to register for an alert once they have a new tutor in stock. i'm BEYOND pleased at this point.
yesterday, i was at the point where i was VERY upset and disappointed with T&T, and now i'm amazed at the amazing customer service they've offered me. just thought i'd share with the community!! i'll be using T&T in the future for sure!! Thanks Larry!!
I recently made my first order with Troll and Toad. Unfortunately, I received some incorrect items.
I ordered 4x Wurmcoil Engine (among several other cards), and instead recieved 4x lifelink wurm tokens.
I sent a message using the contact form on the website, and also sent an email to the tonya@trollandtoad.com address posted in this thread. I hope this is cleared up soon, I very much enjoyed the experience otherwise.
The bummer is that I got my order on a Friday and wanted to use the wurms in a legacy tournament this coming Tuesday. Can't fault T&T for that though, just unfortunate timing.
Update: I've been contacted by T&T. They're sending out new Engines this week, and I get to keep the tokens (now I need some deathtouch tokens). I'm pleased by the quick response on their part.
They sent out a newsletter advertising 10% off magic singles this weekend, but they sent it out late Sunday night. Email arrived 2 hours before the sale ends. I see the email, go to try and order, and its already expired. I love T&T but that was some terrible marketing right there.
I must say that Troll and Toad is my favorite store to deal with. Or at least I prefer to deal with one of Troll and Toad's representatives.
I've dealt with one buyer on more than one occasion and always send a few hundred dollars in cards towards him because he quotes great buy prices, gives a good credit boost if I want trade, and has good prices on the stock at the tournament. He helped me finish my 40 set of duals a few weeks ago, sold me decent foils, and a minty Chains of Mephistopheles.
I mean, 20 for a foil Gush, 45 for English Chains, 70 on NM U. Seas, 8 for a Judge Time Warp. How could I not buy from them?
The only time I liked dealing with a major vendor more was when one of StarCity's buyers wasn't terribly familiar with their buylist and I got way too much for my cards.

I haven't purchased cards from them in ages, but I will say that they have solid pricing on binders compared to pretty much anywhere else. As someone who trades/sells cards as a sideline, that is a wonderful thing.
That is unfortunate, and I would hate to be in that position as well.
