I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
T and T is the first place I go to for anything. They always have competitively priced staples and everything else. And prob due to the fact I live in the same state I always get what I order in 1-2 days. I have ordered several times from them and always been 100 % satisfied. Until other wise they will be the only place I order from.

Troll and Toad is pretty awesome. I've sold cards to them extensively, and they pay top dollar, and are really nice about it. I've bought from them as well, and recommend them 100%.

Troll and Toad is awesome! Ultra fast service and shipping. I live on the West Coast and sometimes I get their orders faster than from similar vendors in my same state. 2-3 days most of the time which is really surprising how fast it is.
My experience with this shop is not all that great.
SHIPPING = FAST
From the time I got the email that my order was processed, it got to me in 3 days average.
COMMUNICATION = GOOD
Whenever I sold cards and wanted to check the status, someone would always reply to my emails within 24 hours.
ACCURACY IN RATING CARDS = FAIR
Most of the cards I've purchased from them HAVE NOT been in the condition described. They also send incorrect sets. I've emailed them and they told me that they are sorry, they THOUGHT they sent the correct ones. WTF?? You thought? Are the people packing your stuff blind?
Anyways, I told them and they said sorry their mistake but they don't have anymore in stock at this time. No compensation offered.
PRICE = FAIR
The reason why people order from them is because of their .99c shipping charge. That's cheap if you're buying bulk, but overall their card prices are higher than most vendors.
T&T is definitely a site that I'd recommend. I live in Asia and the cards usually get to me within two weeks, which is quite a decent speed. The .99c shipping charge really helps and while I cannot testify for the pricing of their Standard cards, their nonstandard cards are priced competitively. I am not sure about the accuracy of their card rating but I once ordered a played Reveillark only to get a mint Reveillark... not that I am complaining though
While I have never ordered from the store directly I could never see myself purchase something from ebay from these guys. I see many claims on 99c shipping, while that may be fine and dandy for people inside the USA. To ship just to Canada, which is basically an identical cost, the cheapest shipping Troll and Toad offers is US $9.93 scaling all the way up to US $41.66...for 1 card.
They really need to examine their shipping practices on ebay at the bare minimum.

This is my biggest issue from them, and why they've fallen from my go-to people for orders to just folks I trust for sealed product.
My first issue - I ordered 20 of each basic from them, and two islands had sharpie writing on them. Not like, marks, but full on "Vampire 4/4 flying" proxies. However, it was two islands, so I ignored it.
Next issue - I ordered 20 of each pokemon energy from them. Whoever filled the order must've thought it was a random lot, as I got something like 47 fighting energy and as little as five electric energy. Yeah... that's not how deck building works. My big issue was that my fire energy was beyond useable. Some had pinholes in them (a common way to mark cards, and I don't want my friends to think I cheat) and several were covered in dirt. Not like, office draw dust, but literal dried mud! I expected played cards, but muddy cards? Wow.
I complained about these, and got replacement product sent. Replacement product was good quality.
Last week, however, I got straight up "lanced" by Troll and Toad. I'm sure it was accidental, but I ordered 3 booster, and about 15 dollars of singles. The package arrived with just the boosters, no singles. Also no receipt, inventory list, note, or anything. I complained and received a reply saying they would fix the error, so we'll see. It's already been significantly longer than fixing the fire energy.
Not counting the island thing, that's really only two major complaints in about 30 orders. So I guess that's good if you're a gambling man?
It's hard for me to compare them to other stores, because I don't have near the sample size. After all, they got my first ten orders or so right on the nose. I don't know how 28/30 stacks up vs coolstuffinc's 3/3 so far, but we'll see. I think I'm going to try other people for a while, but troll and toad is still very good.
Four stars, despite the rant and current missing product.
--
Edit: I am not sure how to back up my negative experiences with verified information. I still have the sharpie islands and muddy mountains if anyone wants pictures, but there is nothing to prove they are from TnT. As for the lancing, I'm not really sure how to prove it. I have an email exchange, I guess?
LMK if this is too much negativity without proof, and I'll provide as much info as I can. They're a good company, and I would order from them again. They just aren't at the top of my list right now.

Update: Troll and toad has finally shipped replacement cards, 2 day air, nonetheless. It did take multiple emails, but they credited me 20 dollars as compensation for the two week delay.
One of the reasons I like stores better than ebay. You usually pay a little more, but when you get bad service, you have CS and managers and an operation that isn't just going to pack up overnight.
I'd rather have just had my cards on time, but this does improve my opinion of troll and toad. I do think I'll try either Cool Stuff Inc or Magic Inferno for a while instead, at least for time-sensitive orders.
I recently sold Troll and Toad a number of cards. The sale was approved by their card buyer, it wasn't like I just erroneously sent them some card and asked for payment. Anyhow, I had sent the card buyer a number of e-mails just to follow through after I sent out-he has not responded, I have not been paid, despite that I sent him two e-mails notifying him that USPS confirmed that my cards were delivered and when I tried to call today, neither their retail store nor their online store customer support picked up (I tried at several times today, the online store just gave me a dial tone).
I managed to get through to their retail store who put me through to another number. Eventually, I reached their buyer (apparently they're having phone difficulties which is understandable)... the buyer said the store credit was delivered, but I can't find out how to use it, can anyone help?
I've ordered from TnT several times, and I'll probably continue to do so on account of their good prices and low shipping costs. Still...
Their inventory management is atrocious.
I ordered 3x a foil version of a card. I instead received the non-foil version. Due to the nature of their return policy ("You must fill out a return authorization form, and return the item within 7 days of its arrival.") and my being out of town when they arrived I never got replacements.
I pre-ordered a card they listed an actual quantity for. I did not receive the card, but instead received 'filler' with an approximately similar value. I was able to return the excess cards for credit as they didn't actually have any remaining stock of it.
I ordered two packs of Euroland - Red (2). I received 3 packs of Euroland - Green (3). Incidentally, these are completely different (though total a similar value). I was able to return the excess packs for credit as they didn't actually have any remaining stock of it.
I ordered a low-value foil card. I instead received a different foil card from the same set (~60% value). They actually had 8 remaining stock of the original item ordered and sent one out when I called them about it (not requesting I send back the original order as it wasn't worth the shipping cost).
If you look at the entries for the Euroland Red Mountain and the Euroland Green Mountain the images are swapped from what they should be. To date I have no idea which one I'd receive were I to order any and have avoided ordering that item on account of this. I mentioned this to no expected effect, and got the expected result.
Ha.
I have ordered from them a couple times and it was fine.
I just want to describe a little what I saw in Des Moines because they had a dealer table there.
They are really nice guys and everything; we were cutting up and laughing with them.
And like in most cases, they seemed more focussed on buying.
But their cards for sale were just scattered in piles. I mean stacks four to eight inches tall, and fanned out cards with a sticky note on them saying $1, $2, etc.
They could have made much better sales but they were completely disorganized. We were having fun with them and then we remembered we had to get a Vindicate for a friend, and they're like, "I know we've got a Vindicate around here somewhere!" and then they start sifting through piles and piles of cards. We go, "That's all right," and then we went to Pastimes table and negotiated a Vindicate at a savings.
Troll and Toad would have been even cheaper probably, if they could find it!
I have been using Troll and Toad for almost 15 years. I have ordered from them 65 times and had very few problems.(i.e. an item would be mistakenly represented as in stock when they were out) I've had to call them a couple of times and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I rarely buy cards from anywhere else. The website is visually appealing and easy to use. My one beef (it's been mentioned already) is that commons cost AT LEAST .49 each and uncommons cost AT LEAST .59 each. These are often .10 cards elsewhere.
I've only had a couple of orders from troll and toad but the have some of the best prices around. I agree, chaos, that there commons/uncommons are overpriced but most of the rares are decently priced to it makes up for it. I've also been selling cards to them and am completely satisfied with the process and the money
One of my very first orders, I placed an order for a set of Underground Rivers (among other things). I received 3 Underground Rivers and 1 Underworld Dreams. Guess they sort alphabetically. So I e-mailed them, told them the situation, and they had a replacement out to me within 48 hours and told me to keep the Underworld Dreams. This was pretty good; this was also about 3-4 years ago.
Another time, I ordered some stuff along with a singleton Steam Vents. When I received the order, it was not in the order when I received it. Again I emailed them, and they had a replacement out within 48 hours. Pretty good!
My last transaction, however, was pretty bad. I haven't been back since. I ordered a set of Engineered Explosives and a pair of Flooded Strands. Waited two weeks, didn't receive anything. Called the store, spoke to a nice lady who said they'd be out within the week. Waited another week for some kind of shipping confirmation to come in the e-mail, and got nothing. Then they e-mailed me and said they were out of stock on the Flooded Strands. At this point, I was pretty peeved as it had been 3 weeks more or less, and they finally decided to start putting my order together. So I called them and told them of the situation, letting them know I didn't appreciate having my order put on hold for 3 weeks before anyone even looked at it...but I asked them to just go ahead and ship it anyway. The lady I spoke to said they would upgrade shipping to FedEx 2 Day Air for my troubles, and I was reasonably satisfied. Until I waited 3 days without the cards coming in...they showed up a week later in a plain white envelope, shipped regular USPS First Class Mail.
I live in Canada, so things take about 2-3 weeks to come in.
However; these stories making me feel weird about my order. I ordered:
x3 Packs of Sleeves (Should be good)
x3 Nissa Revane
x4 Joraga Warcaller
x4 Elvish Archdruid
x3 Elvish Visionary
x13 Unhinged Mountains < Here is where I'm regretting ordering from them
On their website, if you look at an Arabian Nights Mountain, and an Unhinged one have the exact same comments. Maybe they're classifying it as the same land? Regardless, if I payed $1.49 a piece for Arabian Nights Mountains, I would be happy.
I actually work here at Troll and Toad - and potentially have some insight into any various issues, should you encounter problems.
Firstly, ordering from our website vs. the various price comparison sites (ebay included) is actually cheaper on the website. On ebay for example - our prices are 12% higher than they are on the website (to cover things like ebay fees, etc.) Also, our shipping is much more expensive than on the website. Bottom line, order from the website, and you will save money.
If you order something - and do not get the correct product, or the product is not in the stated condition, please email tonya@trollandtoad.com --> she is the customer service manager, and will likely be able to help you out. If you don't like the answer you get there (shoot me a PM) - and I will try to check this weekly.
If you send something to our buylist and have any problems - email buyer@trollandtoad.com to find out about status of payment, or if there is a problem - email andrewh@trollandtoad.com. Andrew is our receiving manager - and will generally deal with any problems that occur.
Also, if you have any suggestions about things you would like to see or something of that nature - please post them here.
Quick question-what kind of shipping is the 99 cent shipping for singles and how long does it typically take for the products ordered that way to arrive?
EDIT: I'm in NJ, guess you'd need that to answer my question
I wandered upon the T&T site recently and saw some cards they were buying that I had and some cards I wanted as well. On the web site, it says that to sell to them, you must e-mail the list of the cards you want to sell. This is VERY time consuming, but I did it anyway to give them a try. It also mentioned that in order to use credit to purchase cards, I would have to include that message in my e-mail with the cards I'm trading in, so I did that as well. I got an approval e-mail saying they were accepting all the cards I listed and to add a total (really? I mean wow, you'd think that they would want to add the total, right?). Anyway, they received my cards (said USPS DCR) and I hadn't heard from them two days later so I sent an e-mail asking if they received and if they send out any confirmation of that. They said they had received and that my paypal payment would be sent with the next batch. I responded "Please let me know when my cards I asked for are being shipped out." Next e-mail I received from another employee stating, "Your paypal address is not set up at paypal." So I responded to that, "I spell my screen name differently from the card Jokulhaups and that is why you got the return message. Please hold off on sending payment until I can verify that the cards I wanted sent to me are on the way." Two or three days later I sent another e-mail asking if the cards I wanted were shipped. Next e-mail I receive is generated from paypal with the full amount of credit for the cards I sent in. Last e-mail I sent yesterday stating how upset I am with their service and online ordering and if they wanted to resolve this issue, send me a total due for the cards I wanted and S&H and I'd refund that amount via paypal. I'm waiting to hear something back. I stated in the e-mail that I'd give them until 7-7-10 since the holiday, but I see they're posting on this site now so maybe this will help bring my case to a higher attention.
Well, TrollandToad is absolute garbage. This site is dreadful. To begin with, all their products are overpriced, especially commons being at 50 cents a piece. I spent $74 on their website, and close to $60 on ChannelFireball.
Here is my rant. So I ordered over $200 worth of stuff across 3 seperate orders. The first order came back as non-sufficient funds, which I had more than enough money in my bank account. The money was still removed via PayPal, and I'm getting nothing in return. So I cancelled my other two orders. The next day, I get an email after ranting to them, about how my third order is confirmed that they received my payment. So, an order placed on June 19th received a payment the same day as an order on June 30th? Fishy. So I had all 3 cancelled orders, a $74 order still went through, but of all orders, it had to be the one which I already ordered all the stuff for from ChannelFireball. After another angry email, I am going to be resolving it via PayPal. Steer clear of TrollandToad, as I;m $150 in the hole.

.99 is GREAT shipping, and the prices are decent
Whenever I have a question (no matter how stupid), they always respond quickly, and tell me exactly what I need.
Another (small) complaint is that as soon as a playset Jace vs Chandraa Counterspells are in stock, they're sold out before I even look at the email
Not really a complaint, just an issue with card availability.
