One issue that appears to be pretty frequent is that they miss a few cards in my order but refund me in cash. It's not a problem with stock or pricing, because I check both and it hasn't budged. One time they didn't fully refund me but when I emailed them they paypaled me the money.
I still buy from them because they're cheap for random cards and their shipping can't be beat, but as of now I prefer other stores.
I recently purchased a Mana Crypt from Strikezone and it did not arrive in the condition that was advertised. I shot them an email and within thirty minutes the problem was fixed. Dustin is very professional and easy to work with.
Strikezone has been nothing but great in my experience.
I think some people don't understand that the Mirrans are the bad guys. Arcbound Ravager is Mirran. Phyrexia are the good guys coming in to conquer an evil, evil world.
Ive bought from these guys on numerous occasions, and each time everything was great. Cards were shipped quickly, cards arrived in good shape, and the shipping was cheap, which is always nice Will continue to buy from these guys in the future and reccomend them to others as well.
I've bought stuff from these guys at a show and they were great. They even took foreign currency! I was sitting on a couple hundred RMB from a recent trip to China that I had been too lazy to switch back into USD. They looked up the conversion rate online and gave me a very fair rate to be able to spend the Chinese money directly.
I have bought from this company a few times on eBay and always had positive experiences, however in mid-February I had used buy it now on an unlimited Berserk and they sent me an email on Feb 18th stating that it had shipped, I still haven't received the card and I sent them an email around the 15th of March asking them where it may be and still haven't gotten a reply to that.
If my item doesn't show up by the end of this week, or if I don't get a reply, I'll be going straight through PayPal for a refund.
This probably won't prevent me from ordering from them in the future mind you, I just want my card or my money back, either way I'll be a happy gamer.

Thank you WOTC for introducing the Modern format, a format where all the whiners can enjoy a level playing field and where they can play with none of the best cards of all time!
I have bought from this store quite a few times, but recently I've found that their prices have started significantly exceeding Starcity's on many of the cards I've been after.
One of the main stores I buy from. They have never disappointed yet, barring one card that got damaged in the post (except that obviously wasn't their fault).

I purchased eight Splinter Twin Magic the Gathering cards for the purpose of resale. Upon arrival one of the cards was damaged to the point where it was unsellable. Since my purchase from Strike Zone these cards have gone up significantly in value. I contacted them on 5/18/2011 via phone and email, being sure to include pictures of the damaged product. They assured me that they would send a replacement within the next few days. As of this writing (5/19/2011) they have contacted me stating that they are out of stock of this particular item and have only offered to refund the original purchase amount, not the current value of the card which is resulting in a loss of profit for me. A store manager told me that I 'made more than enough' on the other 7 that I received. I have already sold these items to a customer on ebay and he is awaiting the replacement that Strike Zone Online says isn't coming. Seems to me to be some shady business practices. This isn't fair to me or to my customer that they have to receive damaged product. When we purchased these cards they were said to me in near mint condition. A card that has been defaced/written on is hardly considered to be near mint. In fact, most avid collectors will tell you that it is in essence, worthless. We would not like a refund; we want our product. Please help us to resolve this issue.

nothing will become of that from the BBB. The best you're going to do is to send it back for a full refund. What you paid for it of course, not what it's worth now. It's ridiculous to expect a store to refund you for more than what they sold it to you for. Don't sell things you don't physically have in hand. Lesson learned.
I want a replacement product, not a refund. Did you read the section titled 'Desired Outcome'? You also don't expect to get a card advertised in near mint that has writing all over it.
I also saw the playset in the toploader before I sold it and assumed all was well coming from SZO, who I have dealt with several times in the past. They covered the back of it with a SZO insert that happened to cover the writing on the card. This was not realized until I pulled them to repackage them for shipping.
We were also told that he 'Didn't care if we ever bought from him again'. Seems like poor business sense. If everyone 'never buys from him again' he isn't going to have any customers left.
We were never once rude. We only told them that we wanted a replacement. Even if it isn't immediately, its the right thing to do and we'd like to reach this outcome.

This is sad. I’ve done business with Strikezone many times and will continue to do so.
Chalk it up to human error. The front probably looked good and they didn’t pay attention to the back. They offered to give you a refund (and keep the damaged card.) That should be the end of the story.
It’s not Strikezone’s fault that you sold a card before you had it in your possession. Things can happen as you’ve just experienced.

I had them in my possession. They were all stuffed in a toploader with an insert covering the back where the writing was. If they stuffed an insert in there they had to notice, right? I didn't notice until I went to repackage.
Just wanted to clarify. They were in hand. They looked fine. The writing was covered by an insert. Sneaky sneaky. I'm out the money now and my customer won't have them in time for an event this weekend.

Sorry but that sucks for you. Maybe next time, you shouldn't assume everything is NM. I think you expect way to much, and ultimately, you made a fair bit of profit on Splinter Twins if you bought 8 for 18.
No point in arguing, seeing how you just want somebody to accept you as being in the 'right' here, but ultimately, I don't have any sympathy for you, and others like you. You complain about losing $10, yet you just made at least $60, for doing absolutely nothing other than buying cards online.
Edit: I'm petitioning for the removal of whiny players. < Ironic
You shouldnt EVER sell things you dont have in hand unless its a preorder. So your double smacked. One can be fixed while the other screawed you and someone else more so the other as now you failed them in the end.
You complain about losing $10, yet you just made at least $60, for doing absolutely nothing other than buying cards online.
Uhh...yeah. Thats kinda how you do business with trading cards, kid. You speculate on what is going to go up and then you buy a buttload of them to sell for profit. Its a legitimate business. Not everyone is smart enough to make money or a living on it, though. I detect a hint of jealousy and a SZO employee hiding behind that Canadian flag.
"Bro is mad and derailing thread." Troll warning. Keep it on topic.

Nope, not at all. I wish I was a SZO employee. Either way, you got burned, and now you're mad. Deal with it.
Let's get back to real conversations, and ignore this 'legit businessman'.
StrikeZoneOnline is flawless as usual. I keep purchasing from them, and their order comes to Ontario in 2 days, and they ship ASAP. It's amazing, pretty good guys! Nothing negative to say about these dudes.

That is amazing given that they are shipping from Texas and having to go through customs... Hell lately Canadian customs has been insanely bad about taking forever. Have had 4 packages in the past 90 days take over a month in customs.

I'm guessing somebody else speculated for you, but you were able to get to the webpage and add them to your cart before anybody else did. Good for you!!!!

Or maybe he is just a sensible person. They made a mistake and said they would send you a replacement, presumably contingent on when they would get one to send out. If you acted anything like you are acting in this thread, I don't blame them for trying to cut it off right away and give you a refund for the damaged card (which is absolutely sleeve playable and you could still get a few bucks out of). Instead you have a disputed amount that is higher than market value. You should be happy they actually sent out the cards with all of the stories of stores canceling orders when these price spikes happen.
Anyhow, it isn't on Strike Zone to fulfill orders that you sell. It is nobody's fault except your own that you sold cards you didn't have, i.e. not counting your chickens before they hatch.
It is kind of funny that you are whining about them not getting your order right, even though you are doing the same thing to someone else. It isn't the buyer's fault that you f'd up. He is the guy getting screwed the most in this situation.
edit: why did it take you over 20 days from order to first contact them? Why would you have them in your possession for 2 weeks before ever looking to see if they were in good condition?
I didn't have them in possession for over two weeks. I moved and had to wait for them to be forwarded.
As for the customer getting screwed, absolutely not. He was sent the playset including the damaged card and refunded full price for the damaged card. My business takes care of its customers unlike unscrupulous others who shaft people when price spikes happen.
Again, I was nothing but polite to SZO. They took an attitude with me, likely because they realized they lost money. Not my problem. I speculated that Splinter Twin would jump in price so I bought them.
I did absolutely nothing wrong and the fact that people would say otherwise astounds me.

You're either a)Jealous; or b) SZO employee.
Haters gonna hate. I'm makin' money.
Or you filed a BBB claim against them for what looks like an honest mistake. When you refund someone their money you refund them the price they paid. Here they let you keep the card and gave you a refund.
I am clearly both jealous AND a Strikezone employee.

Mistake #1 - Selling item(s) you did not actually have in hand
Mistake #2 - Ordering product on the presumption that it would be delivered within a definite time frame and not taking external shipping factors in to account
Mistake #3 - not thoroughly inspecting items promptly upon reciept
Mistake #4 - expecting to be blatantly overcompensated for an unfortunate incident where you would be given refund of purchase price and permitted to keep the erroneous goods.
Mistake #5 - posting your "I'm the victim." tirade on MTGS, when you actually publicly admitting to being a speculator, and expecting sympathy.
Presumed by your attitude here you say you were nice. I say Thats a lie.
Also if you are a so called Legit business then why are you ordering others stock to fill yours? Speculating sitting at home isnt a Legit business.
if I was the customer of the damged card even with a refund I would feel like I was lied to as I ordered a card in a condition and wasnt given said card in that condition. More so when your selling me the damned cards before they were even in your hands. You say we are jealous/SZO employee. I say your shady seller trying to milk the market and expect the end result to be in your favor. I would love to see a link to your Legit business as I would love to spread word to not buy from you due to the same shadiness you accuse others of.

A. Strike Zone offered to refund you full price for the damaged card as well.
B. You made $40 (pre-eBay fees) on this transaction. If you think anyone that frequents this board would be jealous of that, you are sadly mistaken.

< Ironic

Yes i am the same guy who trades/sells on MOTL AND Wizards of the Coast and i trade on POJO.

WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
As far as I can tell, they've tried to do that by offering you a refund.
They are not, however, responsible for compensating you for what you lost because you resold that item without thoroughly inspecting it yourself.
