The next 2 months should see a spike in demand for Power, Force of Will and other cards that are big in these formats.
The reason being that MM2 boosters are likely to be in high demand the whole time they are draftable and should hold a value around 7 tickets, meaning that Legacy and Vintage Constructed grinders with a 60-62% record should be profitable in the 2 person queues (and 65-70% very profitable).
The smart grinders are buying their Power and other staples now and playing TPR (until the extra supply of TPR crashes the price of packs).
Furthermore I expect these cards will lose these gains as soon as either MM2 demand falls away or the Vintage/Legacy queues revert to in-print packs.
I don't know if i can buy your analysis this time either.
I said that just before WotC *completely unexpectedly* extended VMA drafts, which is obvious if you read on in the thread and see where it got necroed after the extension. That post was made at a time when Goatbots had about a quarter of their desired stock levels of dual lands and had been unable to get more for some time.
I personally own only one set of Power - the speculative holdings I have out of VMA are primarily foil non-Power staples, and they are long term holdings for when foils are fixed and the client improves enough to attract casual players back. I'm not looking to do much trading at present.
