this feels like VMA all over again where the prices went up after a week of release and then they drop when they add more events since people are upset
They increased the life span of mma2 events by 3 weeks

Why Cryptics specifically?
Also, when you guys think the prices will bounce back to "normal" level (not sure what it is but something like mox opals for 25 aprox, karn liberated for 20, bitterblossoms for 15, tarmogoys for 70, bobs for 15 etc). I am not particulalarly aware if they will be summer dead seaon in modern but i do want cards to regain its value at some point since i bought several sets of some cards and kinda want to get some profit
All the good rares/mythics will gain value over time, hold them until you need the tickets. Noble, mox opal, hierarch, fulminator, spellskite all seem like good bets to double over time

Not with the new changes to events announced today, which basically amount to the removal of the ability of Constructed players to trade prizes they win in tournaments. If it's not reverted, competitive Constructed is probably dead on MTGO.
Wish I'd seen that article the instant it went up, I'd have dumped everything I have that's solely competitive-demand driven.

Thought that might happen.
Stuff I bought for personal use will drop a bit but shouldn't collapse; the Spellskites will probably fall the most with the extra supply.
Might buy a few dozen Cryptic Commands in week 5 of the new lifespan though.
