Since I took the time to do Journey into Nyx, I figured I may as well update here as well. As always my prices come from the lower end of tcgplayer but primarily from the lower end of buy it nows from ebay (emphasis on playset/4).
Most valuable rares/mythics:
Brimaz, King of Oreskos: $18
Courser of Kruphix: $14
Kiora, the Crashing Wave: $11
Temple of Enlightenment: $6
Temple of Plenty: $6
Xenagos, God of Revels: $4
Temple of Malice: $3.50
Mogis, God of Slaughter: $3
Phenax, God of Deception: $2.50
Ephara, God of the Polis: $2
Karametra, God of Harvests: $2
Eidelon of Countless Battles: $2
All others are worth less than $2.
Set value information:
Total value of mythics: $45
Total value of Rares: $40
Total value of common/uncommon set: $7
Total complete set value: $92
Overall average box value:
Mythics: $4.50/mythic x 4.5 mythics/box = $20
Rares: $1.14/rare x 31.5 rares/box = $36
Common/Uncommons: $7/set x 1.8 sets/box = $12
Foils: $4/box
Total average box value: $72
As with last update, the mythics continued to fall overall, and the rares largely held their value with courser and the temples leading the way there. However the box value due to the drop in the mythics dropped again down to only $72/box. Unfortunately the small sets for this block just haven't panned out. For the rares and mythics the sets are once again top heavy in value. You have a couple rares worth more than $5 and a couple mythics worth more than $5. Anyhow, enjoy the update.
(previous tallies are located in the following posts: 1, 4, 24, 33, 35, 51, 87, 98, 100, 122)
The singles are pretty stable relative to each other, as the whole set gently deflates in value:
1) Brimaz King of Oreskos (22.5) / / / / / / / / /
2) Courser of Kruphix(16) / / / / / / / / /
3) Kiora the Crashing Wave (14) / / / / / / / / /
4) Temple of Enlightenment (8) / / / / / / / / /
5) Temple of Plenty(8) / / / / / / / / /
6) Xenagos God of Revels (6) / / / / / / / / /
7) Mogis God of Slaughter (5.5) / / / / / / / / /
8) Temple of Malice (5) / / / / / / / / /
9) Phenax God of Deception (4) / / / / / / / / /
The card's most recent move is on right. means no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. This is the update's hottest mover. (#) is price in CND incl. shipping here.
There are now just 9 cards worth $3 or more, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack, as Ephara God of the Polis and Herald of Torment fell off the tally.
As mentioned above, the set as a whole is cooling in price because plenty is still being printed and opened. The staples here on the tally are likely to hold most of their value through this "inflationary period" and most will do well long term. But in the meantime they're down about 5% across the board from last update. Temple of Plenty has now tied Temple of Enlightenment for the first time since both were a lot cheaper. Temple of Malice remains the straggler of the 3. Ephara wasn't even good enough to stay on the tally, pretty sad fall from $12 or so (if memory serves me) a few months back. The set's uncommons aren't doing well, just 2 or 3 worth noting, the rest are bulk.
Born's expected box value is the worst in its block. It's somewhere around Gatecrash's expected value. Most people hunting for cheap singles by opening boxes should probably avoid Born for now unless they feel really lucky and plan to open foil Coursers all day
r_e is simply reporting TCGPlayer mid prices. They're still at ~$16. Presumably they'll drop, but the price hadn't been affected by the time the last price check was made.
What does it mean exactly? It can't be worth more than 50% of the clash pack RRP.
You're not going to get $16 for them r_e. Unfortunate for you perhaps but good for those like me that don't have playsets yet.
Thanks for the info. Okay, so 1 copy is being released per deck, and an unknown number of decks are being printed. Unless there's an unlimited number of the decks (ie: they will print until they can't sell anymore of them), this won't have the impact on price you're suggesting. But yes, it will have some kind of impact. That makes it tied with Kiora for 2nd spot on the tally.
I don't use that website at all. Every post I make here contains a link to the source of my prices.
But yeah, the price was checked yesterday, before I heard about the Courser reprinting. I think I'll go to $14 shipped for now.

There are still 9 cards worth $3 or more, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack.
Brimaz has remained pretty strong, only falling briefly below 20, and now sitting above there. Courser hangs on to 2nd place, gaining a couple bucks in value, with Kiora gaining right behind him to essentially tie at $18. The Temples continue to be stable and popular, with Plenty on top at the moment. Mogis holding value doesn't surprise me, but I was shocked to see Ephara fade away to nothing a few months back, as it always seemed like it could be a massively powerful draw engine to me. Xenagos has cooled greatly, while Phenax holds tight at four bucks.
Overall the set is selling fairly poorly for me. There just aren't many great singles to be had. Box value is being held up with some help from cards in the $2 range (which don't show up on the tally), namely Ephara, Karametra, Flame-Wreathed Phoenix, Eidolon of Countless Battles, Herald of Torment, and Hero of Iroas. Spirit of the Labyrinth began as the highest priced rare in the set, but has since fallen to about $2.50 per playset! That makes me wonder how strong the ability on a 3/1 for 1W needs to be, in order for the card to see play somewhere.
Drown in Sorrow seems to be top uncommon, with Searing Blood and Bile Blight close behind, but overall it wasn't a great set for uncommons.
All that said, Born is no dud. It's just not making any headlines.

Brimaz was up a few bucks on recent popularity of weenie swarm decks, Courser cooled a couple bucks which is normal for a chase rare of a set still in print, the scry lands continue to be popular. Overall the set's singles aren't moving very quickly. Players know what cards are good and what cards aren't. Not too much volatility was brought in with KoT's recent release. All in all the set is a decent one at present.

There are now 10 cards worth $3 or more, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack, as Hero of Iroas makes an appearance due to increased use.
Other than the new addition at the bottom of the tally, not much has changed. The set is one of the weaker ones in print, but isn't awful. Recent price drops are similar to those seen in other Standard sets right now. Magic singles often deflate into the holidays and then start picking up in February again. I'll update my prices in another week or so, sooner if something looks to be happening.
He's still a great blocker though and gets you out of tricky situations against any sort of random threat somebody plays against you at FNM. That has been my experience. Once I had to use him in a gang block to trade with a monstrous Polukranos, World Eater. Those 4 points of power for 3 mana are great.
Kiora, the Crashing Wave is just too vulnerable to hasty creatures to be good right now. A 4 mana explore isn't where you want to be.
Hero of Iroas might rise a couple of bucks if heroic decks start doing well.
Nohing for Standard this weekend, but still time for the update. I removed CFB from my numbers. SCG and TCG mid are the prices I am using. Every over a dollar is listed. I am considering do foils, so let me know by liking this post if want me to do foils as well.

There are just too many unplayable inspired and tribute cards in the set. Possibly some of the worst 2 mechanics of all time in the same set.

I think his popularity was boosted by the Jeskai mirrors and now that deck has slid from popularity people have cooled on him.
Decks that can play him are more likely to rely on Goblin Rabblemaster and then would prefer Mantis Rider and Butcher of the Horde.
