I have a set of 1995 Wizards of The Coast cards. I know nothing about these and have had them for 20yrs. Must be 1500 cards all mint about 50% of them in plastic sleeves. All sortsed in sets of about 50 cards.
Each set says number of cards and book value of 20 yers ago when i took them on trade. What would they be valued at and where to sell them. I live in Edmonton Ab Canada. ?????
1995 was a weird time for Magic. The game had really taken off the prior year, leading to a lot of shortages as Wizards' printing wasn't too demand. That lead to a series of sets that were overprinted, which, combined with some rushed and underpowered design, resulted in some of the lowest-value crop of cards ever printed. Sets like Fallen Empires, Ice Age, Homelands, and Fourth Edition have extremely few valuable cards. Alliances fares a little better with Force of Will and a few others. If you managed to snag some stuff from Mirage or later (late 1996 and beyond) or Revised or earlier (early 1994) the chances of having valuable stuff goes up considerably.
For resources for pricing out your cards, TCGPlayer.com is a good place to look up specific cards. Dawnglare has a price guide resource that lists the most valuable cards in each set, which can help when filtering through for cards that are worth pricing out.
As for where to sell, check out https://www.facetofacegames.com/. They're one of the largest dealers in Canada, meaning you should be able to send them stuff on their buylist without having to pay international shipping.
