Been seeing some positive changes and some odd behavior (lack of behavior, actually) at the site.
Now for the "Interests" tab, they show the "Market Price" and "Market Foil Price" of cards, which I feel is a good move, as they may be (partially, sorta/kinda) responsible (yes, I was duped too) to the price-jump freak-outs during last summer. Now we can tell what the asking price jumps are compared to the selling price jumps.
The odd behavior (or lack of behavior) is puzzling to me, so hoping someone here can help shed light on what is going on. Since as long as I can remember, I had enjoyed my Friday mornings reading the weekly analysis (The Week in Magic), w/ the top movers in regards to market jumps, Foils of the Week!, Cheap Pick Ups for the Week!, Conversation of the Week! and The Best Commander Card You're Not Playing! This was written by Jeremy Lichtenberger. Then the Friday weekly update stopped on November 2nd. Then a new writer came aboard 2 weeks later, Arjen, writing about "Telegram: Using Magic in Chat." I wasn't following what this "changing of the guards" was for and what direction the site was now taking. 2 weeks later after the Nov. 14 the Arjen article, there still is nothing on Friday.
Anyone know what's going on? Did Jeremy just decide to stop wring his Friday article? Did he quit w/ Arjen taking over? What was Arjin's article about, exactly (if it can be summoned up, that would be cool).
Thanks for any info.
By the way, here's a link to the main page, where the Friday articles are (typically) listed: www.mtgstocks.com
Does anyone know Jeremy Lichtenberger? Or know someone who knows him? I'll even accept "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" here (but remove Kevin and insert Jeremy)...

Just go look him up on FB. He's not hard to find.
And there are 6 Jeremy's on FB... I don't know about you but I feel odd asking strangers if they are part of "X" website... or that is he is even 1 of the 6 (Maybe he's not on FB at all). Guess you forgot to ask if I check, and prior to creating the thread, I already looked.
When I got the notice you replied, I actually thought you had relevant information- wrong again *sigh*
I see he was recently writing or MTG.one. Maybe he has moved on.
I hit him up on FB... no response yet. I'm guessing you are right. Which is a shame, I like how in tune he was w/ the tourney circuit & the popularity of the cards. Explained a lot about the jumps during his tenure on the site. True, lazy me didn't have to dig deep into research why card X or Y jumped (interesting enough for me to read, but not interesting enough to spend the 15 minutes + digging around for a plausible answer). Hope someone takes the reins & does the same thing, or at least something similar.

Like I promised in the Weekly Winners, in this short article I'll explain a little about our plans with Weekly Winners.
First of all, it is nice to be back and to write articles again. But before getting your hopes up, I'll need to explain a little.
Why Weekly Winners were gone
In 2016 I signed a book deal with a large publisher in The Netherlands, and the writing process took so much of my time I decided I could no longer write the Weekly Winners. Quality went down, readership was stable though, but the responses on the articles lessened. I had to make choices, this was a hard but necessary one.
Why 'This week in Magic' is gone
Jeremy Lichtenberger landed a sweet promotion at this work and for the same reason: time, he made the same choice as I did before: to stop writing and start focussing on his professional job. We all enjoyed Jeremy's articles and are sad he stopped writing. But I'm sure he will find his way back to us one day!
Why Weekly Winners is back
To be short: my good friend Arjen asked me to. MTGStocks.com is a hobby project. For him, for me, and also for other good friends in our Magic playgroup. I'm the only person who cannot write code, and the only one that is able to crash anything Arjen programs, accidentally, just by clicking the wrong thing. But I have other qualifications: I can write text. Stories. Articles. So here I am. I hope you enjoy them!
Trial Period
Like I wrote in the lead of the Weekly Winners. I'm back for now. My return with the Weekly Winners is a trial period. You see, after the publication of my book, I got so much response, my company is doing great! I'm a professional consultant, trainer and writer and I head my own (small) consultancy firm. This gives me the freedom to do whatever the heck I want. But mostly I want to work.
Arjen's (and my) wish is that when we start with the Weekly Winners we have a steady flow of content. An article you can depend upon. That you, as a reader can depend upon. And to be honest, I'm not sure if I can deliver. And I know that our readers to appreciate reliability.
Before, I sometimes skipped a week. This always resulted in disappointment. I got PM's on Reddit, DM's on Twitter or even e-mails from readers. One reaction really stood out, (and also made me a little bit proud to be honest) this one guy said: "please understand that the only thing that gets me trough my miserable friday at work, is finding a fresh Weekly Winners in the morning". Well, to that guy, and all (less miserable) other readers: Weekly Winners is back. I'm going to try to make it work.
