In summary:
Buy survival now.
Wait for CoS? Only trade if need be? I only do EDH but have jank tribal decks.
Yeah, that sounds about right to me. If you want Survivals, buy/trade for them now. If you want Caverns for a janky tribal EDH deck, I'd wait (somehow I don't have one in my Zombie deck - I'm still waiting).
For a brief period of time last night it was $6969.69 on TCGP/MTGGoldfish. Humility was for a few hours "worth" more than a Black Lotus. Now it can be had for the low, low price of just $130 on TCGP. Who knows what it will really settle at as the new normal, but it was a $30 card yesterday morning.
AAANNNDDDD this is an example of why we shouldn't sell or trade cards on the Reserved List... a lesson I am feeling over and over again and for some reason, will not learn from. I had 3 NM copies a few months ago, but needed cash in a pinch. Regretting that sale now. I sold them because I couldn't find a deck I could use them in. If I hold onto a card, I at least make sure I 'll play it eventually. I only collect & not play promos from books & misprints.
I'm also curious about this, as I haven't seen mention of it anywhere else online. At the time of this post, TCGPlayer was completely sold out (all conditions/languages), and there were only a handful of copies on eBay from international sellers with exorbitant shipping fees to the US. Anyone have any insight?
Well, there's finally a bit of chatter on mtgfinance about it -- I guess it's just a general (steep) uptick of interest following the release of Battlebond? I agree with above -- still seems like a pretty aggressive buyout.
Well, to be fair Secure the Wastes is one of the most efficient token makers ever printed and it's pretty decent to begin with. It was probably overdue for a correction. Pretty much same deal w/Nature's Will--card was always very strong; folks just forgot about it. It suffers from a much smaller supply though, so the effect was a bit more pronounced.
Stonehoof Chieftain seems pretty ignorable to me though. With very few exceptions, 8-mana cards aren't where I would put my money. I don't see how a spike doesn't come right back down.

All of them are related to Najeela, the Blade-Blossom, who is apparently ridiculously popular. A card that makes Warriors, a combo piece that lets you untap lots of lands and go infinite with Najeela, and a big fat Warrior that protects your other Warriors.
I really don't follow deck trends... what is going on w/ premium Wispmare? It's a foil common from a Modern set... it's not like the pre-Mirrodin foils which had a lesser print run that the Modern-bordered foils.
Please, enlighten me... Moved to Commander discussion -knickm

Two sellers each selling two copies. Someone's trying to manipulate the market. I imagine that Aminatou likes it against Estrid, but it's not brand new tech or anything, just more market manipulation. Nothing to see here; carry on ...

Double-posting to indicate an update. There are now 13 sellers, asking anywhere from $12 to $20 (and that one guy asking $75) for the foil. The market price has not moved over $2, which indicates that nobody is actually buying the card at these inflated prices. This is phase II: regular people coming out of the woodwork and listing their copies to try to unload them while the price is inflated. Still nothing real about this "spike".

Funny, I bought the last 2 I needed last week for the exorbitant price of $50 each. Guess that is now looking like a bargain.

At a guess, I'd say that Rakdos, the Showstopper, aka Mr Demon Tribal, is responsible.
