Related: I'm curious if pain lands and other colorless-producing lands see a small bump, since it seems that <> is all but confirmed as the new colorless mana symbol.
Looks like somebody posted a Mystic Gate expedition, which means we'd probably see all ten if it's real.
Should we expect to see the regular ones lose some value, just because there are already not a ton of them?
No, the supply of Expeditions is quite small in comparison with the original filter lands. They could even increase if people consider than after that it's less likely that they reprint them.
There will be a little push-down on the price. For example, some of the players at my FNM will certainly "expedition out" their current playsets. When they do this, their current cards will enter the market as they don't need them any more.
Is this a major market force? No. But a small market like Puca, for example, will see a bunch of people dropping playsets of the original printing on to the waiting masses.
I don't get this. Printing more rare versions of already rare cards is not going to solve any price problems.
Expeditions were never meant to solve price problems. They're "Priceless Treasures 2.0" - the (sometimes poorly-folded) proverbial hundred-dollar bills that WOTC slips into packs. They are exactly the opposite of solving price problems - they are a big expensive money sink. The point is to help sell packs, not help us get cards we couldn't afford.

Well, super rare and expensive or not, they are increasing the supply. They're already pretty rare as is and a LOT of Oath packs are gonna get opened. Suddenly people who have one in their EDH deck replace it with an expedition and there's one more floating in the marketplace, repeated tens of thousands of times.
