Do you think Celestial Colonnade will go up or down? It sees a good bit of play right now in Modern, but I don't have a use for them. Will it blow up like Horizon Canopy? Or should I make full use of them (and dump them) before a potential reprint happens?
At $9 a piece, it looks like a good price to dump, but at the same time, I've had the reverse happen to me in the past; card prices for Modern just keep going up. Flooded Grove went from $8 to $15. I never owned a Horizon Canopy, but even that blew up as well. I mean, it's $40-50 now.
I doubt Colonnade would go that high, but still...does it have room to go higher?
I guess same question for the other Manlands. I don't play much Modern (I have interest, but other formats come first -- Legacy and Standard), so Idk how often the other WWK lands are played.
Currently am sitting on a playset of each of the 5 WWK lands (and a few foil ones; only missing Celestial Colonnade foil, Raging Ravine foil, and Lavaclaw Reaches foil). Am wondering what to do with them atm...
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.

Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
I would not sell them. The u/w is becoming a staple and it's usually the expensive modern staples you have to worry about, but we can't all worry everyday fearing a reprint. Even if it gets reprinted it won't break you since it's under $10, and I don't it will see a reprint bevause they would have to reprint the whole set, and the other ones are so cheap that wouldn'g mayter that much anyway. They could go up if that were the case. I don't see wizards reprinting tap lands instead of creating nrw ones that are interesting.
Keep them unless trading up to something bigger since they are all low 'cept CC, but I
I wouldn't hesitate to trade them, modern staples seem to be the best liquid and contain permanent gains it seems. That's my opinion.
I'd definitely hang on to all of your non-colonnade man lands. They just aren't worth much of anything right now, so the only place they COULD go is up. They'll always have some sort of appeal to the casual / edh market even if they aren't getting tournament play.
As for Colonnade, it's tough to know. I actually just checked a couple days ago and was completely shocked that the foil prerelease versions were going for $20 a pop. Whaaaat?! Since when? I thought they were a $7 or so dollar card. So I'm selling my foil promos. It's possible they could go higher, but I'm happy with where they're at now and I'm taking it.

The WWK manlands have been undervalued for a long time. They won't see a reprint for a long time (barring precons, which I think would be unlikely) and they're just fundamentally very strong cards. I'd pick them up at basically any opportunity and I wouldn't trade them away right now in most cases.

Knowing this, would it be worth it to pick up a playset of foil Colonnades? I have a foil set of all the manlands except Colonnade, Ravine, and Reaches. Kinda just feels strange not finishing the set. At the same time, it's a good bit of money too...
Are foils of Modern-played cards worth the same as something like EDH-played cards?

Celestial Colonnade's have been rising slowly for a few months now, I feel they're clearly the ones to absolutely "buy" before paying a penny more in the future...that land is a Iron-Workhorse.
Why is Celestial Colonnade higher than the other manlands, including the superior Creeping Tar Pit? Does it see more play in Modern or something? I'm surprised that the non-blue ones are sitting at about $1-2 each, while Colonnade is so high. In a vacuum, I would rank them as Creeping Tar Pit >>> Stirring Wildwood > Raging Ravine = Lavaclaw Reaches > Celestial Colonnade.

Welp, guess it's time to look around for foil Colonnades. Don't need them too badly, but would be nice to have while they're "cheap."

It actually saw a decent amount of play in Standard, and it's the kind of card control wants -- the long game. Only big downside is that it costs so much to activate.
Tar Pit is the only one that seems clearly better. It does see a decent bit of play in Legacy, that's for sure. I'm guessing it's not enough play in Legacy (only as a 1-2-of in most lists), and there's not really a home for it in Modern (I'm assuming). The rest actually don't seem that appealing to be honest. Stirring's cheap to activate and 3/4 Reach is nice, but it doesn't have the same impact as 'nade 4/4 Flying Vigilance. And then you factor in their respective colors, and 'nade makes a lot of sense, while Wildwood is more like interesting tech (U/W going for long-game control, while G/W generally wants early beatdowns and/or midrange gameplan). Same for Ravine. I actually think it can be pretty scary, especially since the counters stay on the card. That said, it probably doesn't have a home.
Reaches just look bad on all accounts IMO. In a vacuum, with nothing else considered, I'd say they're all equal to each other. Except Tar Pit. I'd say that one is quite a ways ahead of the rest. But in context? IMO that's why it's the way it is right now.

Who even plays UB in modern? BUG midrange is ok, I guess, but that's just one deck. Colonnade is expensive because their are lots of decks who use him. Any man land with G will also compete with Treetop Village, which is faster than all of them in more aggressive decks.
The RG, WG, and UW are all worth investing in. They are cheap right now. I bought them all to have and people noticed at my local shops were shocked to find out how fast they disappearing in shops. You find them online rather cheap still.
Creeping Tar pit is the one I would keep an eye on. I bout a foil at $7 a few months ago and now it has more than doubled. We have a breakout u/b deck and the regulars are going to shoot much higher than $4.
The others will slowly trend up maybe to $2-$3 on causal demand but I they will never be very liquid like the blue ones.

Modern is a format whose speed WotC seems dedicated to keeping in just the right sweet spot for Celestial Colonnade. If the format gets any slower (which it probably will), CC only gets better.
In a control deck being able to attack with your land and still have it untapped for mana is a huge reason Colonnade is valuable as well.
