I'm the winner of the Foothills and I believe it's a fake. I compared to other ONS foil fetches under a bright light and the word 'Land' is below the foil layer on the Foothills and not on the real ones.

I don't know if you have time or care to but could you upload pics comparing the fake to others. If not no big deal.

He also gave me Jason Chan from Detroit for return address.
I attached two pictures, the foiling on the foothills is much more grainy than that of the delta.

Yeah and you can tell there is no separation between border and picture box exactly how mine was.

Like Jason Chan, the very popular artist for mtg among many other things? This guy is not even trying to cover his ass very well. Have people reported this to wizards? I'll email them right now...
So? None of this prevents you from leaving bad feedback. I'm talking specifically about people in this thread who are returning orders.
It does if you prematurely left positive feedback. I for one have never heard of fake foils before all of this, and I doubt many people have. I received the card, it was in a toploader I glanced at it through the toploader and left positive feedback because it looked fine. I never thought anything of it. It wasn't until I got around to putting it in my deck that I realized how off it really was.

Everyone should be pressuring Wizards to file a lawsuit against this mofo. I'm giving them a call tomorrow morning, when they're open. I suggest you guys do the same.

What is Wizards going to do? If he is just altering the card, are they going to go after all alters?
I don't like the way he is misleading people with his alters, but I'm not sure what Wizards could actually do. EBay would be a place to start, I would think. He is misrepresenting his product, in my opinion. Should get him for failing to include that these are just alters.
Just because he's altering the art doesn't mean he's selling it as an altered card. He's infringing upon wizards' copyright by selling it as an official product. Also, it's no longer an altered card when he removes anything that can identify what card it actually is. Was the foil dark ritual always a dark ritual? Probably not, and you can't tell what it was originally. I can't "alter" fabric, cotton and dye to make a pikachu doll. Same reasoning here. It wasn't a foil dark ritual, so he can't make it a foil dark ritual.
pretty much selling a card with their artwork, which they didn't print, is infringement.

So he is reprinting the art over a foil layer? I was under the impression that he is putting a foil layer over the card, which is just altering it.
If he is printing out the art without permission and putting that on a card that is infringing. Have people that got these cards seen that they look like they are printed over other cards?

Yeah, I don't think he's gluing a foil layer on top. That would be too obvious, and wouldn't work because some parts of older cards are not foil (the picture, the textbox, the white text, etc.). Also, the cards are all a different color, which I doubt is a result of a simple foil layer.

You can still leave a follow-up comment letting people know they are fake. And report them to eBay, of course.
UPDATE: Both Ebay accounts have been changed to "No longer a registered user".
I hope everyone involved got there money back. I will keep an eye out for future scams thanks guys.
That is usually when Ebay closes the account of said person. I was scammed once from Ebay when I pre-ordered 2 cases of a set coming out. The guy never sent me a damn thing and his account was closed just before the set that I pre-ordered came out.
I contacted Ebay and found out that his account was closed because he was scamming other people with fake cards and other schemes.

Thank you for being so vigilant, Jake556. Even though I did not buy anything from this scammer, I've been keeping close tabs on this post and a watchful eye on eBay. Probably because I was in the market for some of the foils he was selling, and was actually watching a few of his auctions when they were active. Thankfully, I did not bid due to his low feedback and the awkward wording of his auctions, which raised some flags.
You've done a huge service to the people who were scammed by him and made me a lot more careful when it comes to foils. I thought it was impossible to make good fakes of old foils.
