Okay. So, this either gets you EDH cards, or more trade bait. What's your end goal? EDH? Modern? Standard?

It was going to be standard with a focus on new rotation post Khans. Which is why I opened a lot of BFZ in the first place. EDH is the other format I love also. So high value EDH cards would be something I'd consider or good standard staples that will stick around once shadows hits

Unless the Underground Sea is not sleeve-playable, I'd take Pile B and run. It's not even close.

Really? My thinking was that the sea can be had at tcg low for 180, which would only put the boxes at 100 a piece.

I'm seeing plenty of boxes on eBay going for $90-$95 plus free shipping. That'd put the trade at $180 (in a junk set, IMHO), for, at a bare minimum, a $180 card plus $20 in cash. Even at heavily-played, the cheapest on TCG Player is $166. The better the condition, the better the trade, assuming it's not a counterfeit.

The boxes are pretty much expedition lottery in terms of card value. There's only a handful of things in the set worth more than the price of a pack.

I would take the Sea in a heartbeat, as long as it's in at least reasonable condition.

The condition of the USea is very relevant, but I'd almost always take the Sea. Guaranteed value over Expedition Lottery.

If you don't open a blue fetch expedition, then you lose. 72 packs, odds are about 67% that you'll open an expedition at all. Most of them won't make up the difference. I don't like those odds.

A. But I don't put much extra into pimp status. Hierarch fits in more decks then Goryo.

You can also get a LP Bloodstained mire for around 16 total, where the lowest price that I see for a LP foil Might is around 19. I would see if Pile B had something else in the 2-4 range that they would be willing to part with, personally speaking.

Thanks. I think the MooK foil is LP-. I'm guessing the Bloodstained Mire is NM-, but I will certainly check.

Seems like a fair trade, the deck is worth around $580 in cash, but you only get full retail when trading. You always get less when trying to get cash for cards so this seems like a fair deal. I think I'd take the deck if you really need it or want to play it, if not maybe try to get $500.

I agree, though just a few thoughts on pile A. Merfolk is also becomming more popular decks since it is one of the cheaper tier 1/2 decks. The list looks a little dated however. No meerow reejery and only 1 cavern of souls. If I were getting pile A id go in knowing id have to put in about 150 to bring it up to date.

This is the list he wanted. I have been looking at the price of Mutavault and Aether Vial playsets online because I still may want to play Slivers. It looks like it's around $55 for the Vaults and $120 for the Aether Vials.

So the piles are kinda in flux, it's more of a general question. TCG mid values being used for everything.

Pile B:
Approximately 110% pile A's value in Expeditions and Revised Duals

No. So, known value, or bet on opening a foil 'Goyf? I'll take the known value.
