Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

Even with low prices on expeditions with a Snappy promo incoming on top of a massive post modern season price drop I can't see pile B being anywhere near good enough.

What do you guys think about this
Pile A.
Umezawa'so jitters
Pile B
3 choke legion
1 choke 8th
It seems pretty fair value wise, just wondering which is more likely to hold long-term value?
Jitte here, not even a question. Arguably the best equipment ever that's banned in Modern so it won't get a Modern Masters reprint against 4 uncommons that will crash once they get their inevitable reprint? Like Yogi Berra once said, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
It's funny to view these trades as an european player as the prices differ so heavily. Here it's pile B hands down. 2 Choke's are already over what jitte is worth.

Wow. I just found the prices on a European website because I was curious, chokes are.about the same, jitters is like dirt cheap, I'd pay $10 on shipping for a jitters that cheap!

You used magiccardmarket ? because that's the place to go. Also I've noticed the same thing with some other cards as well like sword of fire and ice. There's propably a lot more.
Also I've traded cards to the US before and untracked shipment isn't that expensive, but I don't know if you were talking about tracked or untracked shipments.
I looked at the site and they don't have U.S. addresses available when setting up an account

Vorinclix is super fun commander but the seachromes have a lot of potential.
Long term, the Coasts are better, especially if you aren't using the Vorinclex. You never know when they'll randomly throw Clex into some Commander product. Coasts can't go significantly higher, but they have some room to grow.
Now mine:
Pile A -
Underground Sea (MP)
Pile B -
Misty Rainforest
Scalding Tarn
Liliana of the Veil
Prairie Stream
Also, would adding a Stomping Ground to Pile B change your mind?

MP seems like a very broad definition these days. If it's bad no pile B if it's good Pile A. Border wear means nothing to me (especially on WB cards) but once you get into heavy scratchs on the front and bends (which are covered in the MP definition) then I'm out.
Values might be technically the same but that's a poor trade medium to long term. Pile A for me. Jace is just too dependent on fetches for early flips for my liking. His power drops significantly the longer you have to wait to flip him.
Pile B. The value for those SDCC promos drops right off in time. Only the Jace is really worth something and his value in older formats is still being established.
Pile A has more value, but for how long? Personally I'd take Ulamog. Krosa can be reprinted anywhere and the new duals won't see much play outside of Standard and EDH so they'll drop at rotation. Ulamog at least is a the kind of mythic that casuals love with big splashy effects and won't be reprinted in a long while. He won't ever be $110 chase mythic but he'll never be bulk IMO.
I think that this is one of those trades where both sides win. Personally, I'm looking long-term.
Take the expedition.
Modern staples in newer sets don't go anywhere. Look at shocklands and Thoughtseize. There's just too many of them out there due to how popular standard has been since RTR.
Once people stop opening Battle for Jankdikar expeditions will go shooting up. Even if some of the cards are playable (big if) after rotation the singles market will have enough already opened to cater for all the standard players.

Foils are generally only worth a significant premium in NM condition, because the whole point of a foil is that it's shiny and cool. If it's all messed up, nobody's going to want it. There's a VERY small market for less than LP foils, so I can't in good conscience recommend trading for an MP foil, especially for a card that's only valuable in foil. I'd probably keep Pile A.
