No clue if this is the right thread for this because it's not a misprint, but not sure where to post. Curious what folks would value this Chains of Mephistopheles artist proof that is unfortunately signed in a personalized way?
We get artist proof questions in this thread all the time. It's the right place.
Heather Hudson personalizes a lot of her signatures, to the point where finding an impersonal one probably adds a significant amount to the price tag.
I'd put the value of this AP somewhere slightly south of $100. Yes, it's old and a really good card, but most of the value of the card comes from the fact that people want to put it in decks, which is why Chains is more valuable than Elder Spawn. At the same time, it's not nearly as iconic, so there's no cachet associated with it like a Mox, or even a Moat.
That's just my opinion, though. As with many APs, it depends on how many are in the hands of private collectors like myself, never again to see the light of day (caveat: I do not own one of these), and how many are legitimately on the market. Eventually, it becomes unique enough that you can ask what you want, and somewhere, someone will like it enough to pay your price, after some amount of time. It could be a long time, though.

Thanks for the response and I agree with what you said. That's where I'm at really- I would trade it for things I could put to use in Legacy decks or Pauper cube but I don't mind keeping it safe for a few more years either. A dealer at GP Portland offered me an Excellent condition unmarked Karakas AP for it which was tempting but Chains seems more rare despite the signature so I didn't go for it.

Unmarked - as in, not signed? Unsigned APs are generally not worth very much.

My friend and I recently split on a set of commander boxes (2014) and we found an interesting misprint.
To our surprise, we found a Llanowar Elves splotched with blue ink. Covering quite a bit of the card. I've never seen something like this before.
He said he checked the price online and said it could be up to $20 for it, but I highly doubt that someone would price a common at that much. (Even if it's a staple)
I've heard that this is common despite never seeing it before.
Would anyone even consider this anything of value?

Moved to misprints - Sparki
Probably not. It's a somewhat common misprint and the card isn't anything special either. I think the only person who may want would be someone specifically collecting llanowar elves and all variants of it. Even then, It wouldn't be anything more than $5.
So, I have a card that I'm trying to figure out what it is.
It's an English Forest from P3K, artwork #178, as seen here
However, on the picture on magiccards.info and Gatherer, the artist credit is left-justified, whereas on the copy I have, it's centered, and doesn't give the collectors number.
Is this an alternate print run or an elaborate fake? I know that P3K basics are generally in the 50-75 cent range since they're pretty hard to find, but I'm not sure exactly how this differs from the version found on the official images.
EDIT: Did some more research, and it seems to be the Battle Royale reprint. I guess this was still in the Chronicles age when Wizards thought it was a good idea to use the same set symbols as were on the original printing. Still probably worth a buck, but nothing super exciting.
It's a misprinted Sol Ring, but the misprint (ink roller) is on the back. That's not visible during normal play, so it's unlikely to garner a significant price increase. Probably $25, to the right collector, but the market is restricted because of where the misprint is.

I opened a foil Battlewise Hoplite from a Korean Theros pack around the release of Theros. I have had this card sitting in protective sleeves since, and kind of forgot about it. I have never seen a misprint like this before in my life. I have no clue what caused it. I feel as though it may be worth something. I messaged that guy on YouTube named Keith the Misprint Guy or whatever, and he never got back to me about it. I'm really interested in figuring out what may have caused this to happen, and if it is worth anything. I am also hoping to sell it (I'm not trying to solicit a sale in this thread), just merely curious if anyone has any idea what it may be worth. Here are some photos!
I'll try to explain it more in detail. None of the other cards had similar markings at all. On the front of the card, you can run your finger over the face of the card and actually feel the "vein" because it pops out a little bit. It starts in the creature's beard and goes all the way down to the bottom edge of the card, below the "2" of his power. When looking at the card's bottom edge horizontally, you can see a bit of a dent where the "vein" is. Now looking at it on the back, the black portion of the "vein" is noticeably raised from the rest of the card. Just below the green circle of the pentagon of Magic colors, the black part stops. The vein then becomes white, and at that part with the white, the "vein" is no longer raised like it was with the black. It is slightly concave. A little before the "M" in "Magic The Gathering" the white part of the "vein" disappears, and the "vein" returns to the normal brown color of the Magic card back, yet it is still slightly concave. The "vein" finally ends a bit above the "A" in "Magic."
Other than this odd "vein" the card doesn't have any other strange features. So again, any insight as to what may have caused this and its potential value would be awesome! Thank you!

Is there a going rate and general interest in the Guru Rebate Book?
I've seen a couple of them on Ebay for $2-3K (with a set of lands) and there is one on SCG for $1500. Just curious since it's quite the odd rarity.
I know a judge that wants to offload his Terese Nielsen lands. I see the price has gone pretty far down on these from what I expected. Whats the current fair value?

I bought a playset of Siege Rhino from an online shop and when they arrived, I noticed that one of the Rhinos has a square bottom-right corner (with a slight upwards hook) as opposed to rounded. It's right border also sticks out when you put another card on top of it, as does the squared corner. I'm guessing it's miscut rather than a fake, but I'm not sure what I should do with it. Would it be worth anything? Should I ask for a refund/new copy? It fits fine in a normal sleeve, I haven't tried a perfect fit sleeve on it. I tried to get a picture but my camera's flash always blurs cards and if I turn the flash off it's often too dark to see the detail.
Any idea how much chinese foil siege rhinos go for? I grabbed one for $20 a little while ago, but have no idea how much foreign foils of standard cards are worth, even for widely-played cards like Rhino. I expect it may be about that now but also anticipate it to climb in the next year or so.
On a related note, any good websites for checking the price of foreign foils? I usually use MTGprice for english card prices. Thanks guys!

Do Japanese tokens from Journey into Nyx have an increased, above normal price (consider what a collector would pay for them, not you personally)?
Here is also the pretty/shiny new piece I got today as a gift: a foil, Japanese Chromanticore; what is it's collector's value?
I have attached pics of the tokens and the foil.
p.s. - what commons/uncommons from Journey into Nyx and Born of the Gods would have higher than normal value in Japanese (also part of the gift, just want to find out which ones I should pull for trades).

Well there are two foil japanese chromanticores on ebay for 18 dollars that remain unsold so I'm guessing around 20 in trade and 13-15 cash.

Hi I'm Infecter4life and ironically I only play GBx decks.
Based on eBay completed listings, Summer Magic Forests are going between 150 and 230. So, 180-200 is probably fair for cash, and maybe 240-260 trade.
I don't know what the ABU price is, but that's at least an estimate for what people are paying for them via the certain well-known online auction website.

Hmm, why not giving it a shot.
I got a Alpha Mana Vault that's in pretty good shape!
In my oppinion i got it at a fairly good price (200 dollars i think) and i kinda missed out on a deal for a Mishra's Workshop so im thinking of trading it down to a Beta Mana Vault and getting a Workshop as well.
If you look at eBay completed auctions, you can see they're selling in the $250-350 range.
Really? I thought it was worth more, i wonder which condition they were.
You could go look, you know. The information is open to anyone. They were all in fairly good condition. The only one selling super high were BGS graded ones.
