It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
Looks more like it was stuck to the card next to it and left a part of itself behind. If that is the case, then it would be a damaged card and subject an appropriate devaluation. Are you certain that it is indeed a misprint and not damage?
Yep. It's a printing issue. I have no idea if his makes the card more or less valuable. I was going on trade for it at book value but was wondering if it was with more or less.
Didn't see it posted elsewhere, but SCG has a misprint miscut oddity section now. Personally I feel they are way overpriced (lands at $40 for miscuts that show another card) but might help you try to gauge value better.
They also seem to be going with the off centered cuts being "premium," which I suppose is good as I don't have to worry about them ending up as SP. Didn't see a buy list, so looks like they are just testing the waters now.
They are on the high side of where they generally are on ebay, which is usually where retail locations are on most things. Honestly, I wouldn't say basically anything is super overpriced; items that are miscut but only a bit they barely are charging more then retail on. The only big problem I saw was that they were using the art to determine the card it is, rather then the name of the card (which is legally how it works in magic). One of the "example" miscuts they have in their banner on the main page is the biggest offender, as it is being sold as a High Tide for $150, when it is actually a Dwarven Soldier. As you might imagine, high tide is worth far more then a dwarven soldier. I sent them an e-mail about it; we'll see what happens.
I understand that for the sought after miscuts (playable anything with another card showing) but they have a lot of Jank that is at $10 because the borders are like 5% top 95% bottom (examples would be most of the Fallen Empires stuff I saw). I don't know many people who want cards that are just off center, especially since they usually are considered less than near mint. But if there is a market for it, I'm sure SCG will find it.

Pretty sure you can play it either way. In a tournament you could make claims for both ways. (as it is recognizable by both art or name). IIRC this is the misprint that is 80 percent High Tide and then the name of Dwarven Soldier on the bottom. While things of this nature are always left up to the head judge of the event, I could see them letting them go as High Tide as it has the entire text box and art of High Tide. But I could also see them disallowing it because the "name" on the card is Dwarven Soldier.

I just want people who redraft to admit this:
"I can't draft objectively unless I am able to guarantee that I receive at least 3 rares. I am also better than most average/new players so I want to make sure that I get the best rares and they end up with worse ones. I care more about the monetary value of cards than actually playing the game for decent prizes."
the tournement rules say that that card is a high tide. similar to drudge skeleton swamp or wald looking like a plains and being a forest. its the name that matters in a tournament. it is not up to the head judge, it just is.
So, I just discovered the SCG "misprint" section and I'm a bit surprised that "off-center" miscuts are pulling any premium at all. Is this a reflection of the larger market, or just something SCG is trying to push?
I ask because, I have an unlimited mox emerald that's pretty off center. It's a noticeable miscut, but I'm not sure how to quantify it. I always figured it was worth a spot less than usual, but...is it possibly worth more?

It's barely worth any more. If you notice, even SCG prices them not much above the NM price they have on normal ones. If it were mine, I'd be happy moving it for normal.
What exactly is a "color error?" I don't see anything different with some of those "miscolored" cards. It looks like they just lump all into 1 category and call it color error.

they have a few "faded" Mirrodin cards. I say that because I have a lot of rares with that color error. I have a Glimmervoid in an Affinity deck and you can clearly tell. The card looks almost like an Unglued card (the borders look almost silver/grey).
Some are just little yellow-ish circles that are on some of the cards. others are way darker than normal (like the "dark visions" cards).

I got a Crystal Vein that's printed very dark. I noticed some of the "dark visions" were marked up at a premium on scg, so i wonder if the same is true for "dark mirage." Anyone have any insight?

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the tyranny of magical cards.

To me, it honestly looks like they went through their cards, or started having them get checked when receiving them, and pulled out any that were visually different and just set them aside. This works for them since they have so many cards anyways, just keeping 1-2% to the side and charge a premium is probably worth it.
As is true with all misprints and such, it really comes down to finding the right buyer and SCG has the ability to find that buyer. It could be worth a premium, but if it isn't played I think you will have a difficult time finding that buyer yourself.
I haven't seen anyone collecting "dark Mirage" and haven't seen anyone selling it either, so can't help you find out.

Dark Visions is an actual thing, in that there's a large amount of it out there (well, large for misprints). There's no dark mirage; just mirage cards that were printed dark. It depends on how dark it's printed if it's extremely noticeable it'll command a good premium.
Slight miscuts nobody serious cares about at all. Your best case scenario is finding someone who kinda thinks its cool and will give you a slight premium.
I consider them equal to their regular price if not slightly higher. (15-20%ish)
Given a near mint runs around $37, assuming this is near mint, I think a collector would easily give you 42-45 on this piece. As always, the right guy could give you 50 or upwards.
Thought this was cool and wanted to share. From my Commander's Arsenal. Bottom left corners are miscut on four of the cards including Kalia, Dragonlair Spider, Edric, and Command Tower.

In that condition?
Picture isn't the greatest but from what I see... I'd say high of $600-700 retail.

Also I have a slightly miscut High Market. Is it even worth calling it "miscut" for trade?
It's probably worth posting a picture.
