I'm curious to see how Jace will turn out, I've gone deep on a number of RtR staples including about 50 copies of Jace when he could be bought for 10 anywhere and traded for less usually. I've sold a couple sets off for 60 once he hit $20 on SCG I'm wondering how high he can really go, seems like the U/W cards from RtR are going to be really powerful in the future which is why I bought a bunch of Aetherlings/Jace/Supreme Verdicts at their respective lows.
With the format slowing down I also wonder what a card like Detention Sphere could look like in the future, Azorious charm/detention sphere/supreme verdict/Jace all seem like they could be put into a pretty powerful mid-range control strategy once things slow down a bit with the loss of Champion of the Parish/flinthoof boar/strangeroot geist/etc.
I've also got a bunch of Rakdos's Return, for a mythic that can basically end the game and gives BR something to almost always want I wonder where this card could end up. It's a bit more speculative than the rest but it seems like it could have some pretty decent upside if you're able to pick them up for 3-4$ each.
I wonder how much the format is really going to slow down come Theros - sure, the red aggro decks lose Hellrider and Stromkirk Noble, but they still have Rakdos Cackler, BTE, Gore House Chainwalker, Ash Zealot, Gore-Clan Rampager, and Mizzium Mortars as removal, plus whatever M14 and Theros bring to the table.
Champion of the Parish is a sizable loss, and no Cavern of Souls or Mayor of Avabruck means the human deck doesn't really exist anymore, but I still think we can expect there to be a pretty quick red deck, if only for a few weeks after rotation - aggro always tends to dominate the first couple weeks, since there are wrong answers but no wrong threats.

What changes is the amount of early "burst" pressure these decks can muster thanks to the Humans being gone. Boar and Mayor and Champion are huge because of how they interact with the rest of the cards, resulting in a critical mass of annoying cards that can get in for 7+ on T3.
I really wonder if Wizards tracks player turnover. I'm guessing the same pattern happens every year because a lot of the playerbase has no memory of last years events because they just started playing, while a lot of people who experienced the sickening roller coaster ride that is standard pricing have quit by the time the next block rolls around.

Right now we're seeing a massive amount of game growth, so there's simply more people playing year over year, leading to "fights" over less supply.
Jace is still easily findable on eBay for $11 -12, so I'm not sure if it's accurate to say he's taken off just yet. Still a good card though and I would take advantage of these prices while they're still available because they're not going to stay this low forever.

gp Houston they were offering 10 dollars buylist....
I was tempted to sell mine to strike zone online...
but I already sold 1880 dollars, and I couldn't part with my jaces just yet..

honestly, fetchlands were going for 5-8 dollars when they rotated out.
I brought 6 arid mesas for 5 dollars each. And yesterday sold them to a vendor on buylist for 20 each.
Same thing will happen to RtR. just be patient and wait.
The main aggro deck post rotation will be G/W similar to Wescoe's PT winning list.
Wescoe is a specialist in that style of deck, so I don't know if I would go all-in on that being a big star in October based on his performance. G/W is historically the least likely color combination to produce a competitive deck. Now, if some of the raw power in that deck was underpriced at the moment, I could see making a move, but it really isn't. If you think G/W is going to be big, then I guess picking up Gaze of Granite and Supreme Verdict, both of which ARE underpriced right now, may be the move. Verdict and Jace are the RTR cards I have been most eager to pick up lately, historically those should see increases in the fall, but the massive popularity of RTR and how many boxes were opened may cap that growth.
The mana situation will likely dictate what happens in October, of course. I just don't see G/W being a force unless the mana is so bad you can't splash anything else.

Just curious, and slightly OT, but why buylist them? It seems like you do pretty well in terms of buying low and selling high, but doesn't liquidating your "speculation" (not really speculation when you're talking playable staples following established patterns) targets via buylists eat up quite a bit of the profit you'd make? Why not sell on here or on ebay?

lol.... I would explain but it may be easier for you to just click on my youtube video... where I go over selling 2.2K at GP Houston...
I have high hopes for (base) G/W, Voice of Resurgence, Advent of the Wurm and Trostani are destined for greatness. Add the <card that cannot be discussed yet, but is called Angelic Accord> to the deck and it will be a deck to be, well, Reckoned with. Trostani is a great combo with Accord.
If you're kidding, har har har
If not, you don't seriously believe that you have the ability to move the market yourself, do you?
TCGPlayer recently added the ability for individuals to sell their wares through their site, and with that kind of visibility, a large number of individuals who go through one of the most visible price channels might well be able to drag down the "market" price for a fair number of cards by a fair bit.
It's an interesting experiment, in any case, and one well-worth seeing how it plays out. There are some interesting dynamics at work here.

RTR is (imo) the deepest set ever in the Modern era re: constructed-level cards.
Current post- Grand Prix KC Modern Postmortem (7/7/13)
Yes, that's painfully obvious. I was hoping for sweet GTC and DGM cards to match DRS and Abrupt Decay but they never happened.

GTC was a huge let down.... and DRS is complete crap for eternal formats.

Increase in number of sellers in TCGplayer. I started selling them below low price and others followed suit.
This "Angelic Accord" is it in m14 or Theos?
Why would you play this over Advent of the Wurm with Trostani?
