Actually Skaab Ruinator may or may not go back up. one of the crappy things about him is that he is bad for synergy with the new "from the grave" plays. With the Litch coming out most people won't want to exile cards from their graveyard. Instead they want to simply revive them.
Though I may be wrong. It just seems that the synergy between zombies are not that good yet. Well some zombies work great together but not all.
Okay. After a long hiatus, its time to get back to my ebaying, and thusly these updates that Ive been sad to not have had time to update regularly over the last few months. So without further delay, my prices generally come from the lower end of ebay buy it nows, and the lower end of online store prices, so just keep that in mind.

All in all, not too bad given that the set has been out for over 4 months now. In a lot of ways I love this set. The rares have a lot of good stuff in them, the mythics dont make up a huge amount of the set's value, and you have lots of appeal from both casual and tournament players across the board. While the value overall of the set has dropped over time, the current values of many of the rares especially have remained quite strong over time, whereas most of the mythics have dropped significantly (geist of saint traft aside). Given the sheer amount of this set that has been openned, it will be interesting to see where everything ends up in the long run. I think the set has some strong potential post-rotation as well in the fall, but thats a ways off, and the current values seem overall stable for now. The biggest loser since the set was released (and every set has one) is poor ol scab ruinator. Losing nearly 90% of its value since the release.
It's jumped because it's being run in mono black decks (at SCG events none the less). Problem is, it's easily disruptable and will likely not stick around after people try him out. Bloodline Keeper is a much better option and makes his own dudes to boot...

That is why Bloodline Keeper costs 4 mana and High-Priest costs 2. The reason the card is good is twofold: Black has poor 2-drops, and High-Priest eats removal. This allows your other creatures to shine. If it doesn't eat removal, there is a solid chance that you can start churning out demons.
In summation.....Star Trek wins a prolonged naval battle against superior, yet less technologically advanced, numbers, with Picard leading the assault, while Kirk takes your soul by laying out Solo and probably his manservant Chewy as well, before impregnating and ditching your Princess.
I have a feeling that Skirsdag High Priest can be really good. He's aggressively priced, has a very good effect and has a lot of synergy with Birthing Pod.
I'm not sure I see what you're saying. He's a Squire with an activated ability that requires you to have 3 untapped living creatures in play to be anything more than Squire, in addition to having an active Birthing Pod in play, in your example.
If you have an active Birthing Pod in play and 3 living creatures, how have you not already won and what is a 5/5 Demon token doing that 3 live creatures and an active Birthing Pod can't do or better?
That sounds like the clear definition of "win more."
Your idea to make a bad card good is to play cards that are, at best, worse facsimiles of cards from two entirely different decks (including a card that in no way remotely resembles the two-card combo of Highborn/Seer) that played Bitterblossom and Thoughtseize in a format where Tempered Steel is your aggro.
Is this a competitive Standard deck you're building here?
Originally Played by Jasper Johnson-Epstein, 22 points at Pro Tour Dark Ascension
Yes, I would say these are, in fact, competitive Standard decks built around Skirsdag High Priest. It seemed clear to me from the moment it was printed, that with enough support from upcoming sets, the priest could be a lynchpin in any kind of strategy involving creatures. The fact that it enjoys a unique advantage in the current metagame by virtue of its recurring engine that makes big flyers, or that it could feasibly become more influential after rotation in the way that shrunken card pools usually allow for, is bonus gravy.
Nephalia Drownyard seems like a good pickup as U/B control was the popular deck at the GP this weekend. Also with snapcaster mage, Liliana, tragic slip, forbidden alchemy, and think twice staying in standard , a good black/blue deck will exist after rotation.
Also, Bloodgift Demon could be a good finisher in the deck after rotation if the power de-creep continues.
The only t8 player playing Skirsdude Highdude noted that the card was terrible and that he didn't want it in his deck. Card is way below a dollar. There are so many better pick-ups that don't have negative press to them than Win-More Highpriest.
Did you read GP coverage before posting that, PyreDream?

PyreDream posted than on the 24th and the gp was on the 25-26th. You are correct that he did not read the gp coverage before he posted that, no one did.

Even without the GP it was pretty evident that Skirdag High Priest is pretty useless. His ability is too situational in the decks he is being played in. Just because he is a black two drop does not mean he should be placed in every single black aggro deck. In fact in zombies, a walking corpse serves a better purpose.
Decks that can take advantage of his ability should be token based with a reliant sack outlet. An example would be:
Saw Mayor of Avabruk jump in price on SCG... any reason for this?
Maybe people finally realized that W/g humans is at least as good as W/u Humans. And in W/g humans Mayor is bascially a wizened cenn with a much bigger upside.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
Yeah I've been playing him for a few months in a GU Counterwolves build and love him. You stick him turn 2 and it's usually game over. But I was curious if he's been posting results elsewhere or in major events.

It's great in matchups against control when you start first and stick him in play before the control player could get to 2 mana for mana leak. This move has won me countless games.

Does this usually translate to real life sales though? I mean I live in a metro with a ton of Magic events each week, spread all around the area in 15+ local shops. Not a single one is block.
Block CAN be a good indication of post rotation standard, that was where RUG came from in Zendikar, however, the big block deck in scars was Architect, and he really hasn't done anything in the T2 scene.

"It's like some kind of Voltron... made of elephants??"
(Key: The card's most recent move is on the right. This indicates the hottest mover of the update. indicates no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. Data is from here.)
Mikaeus the Lunarch, Past in Flames, and Army of the Damned fell off the tally this update, as they're now worth less than the booster pack they come out of, leaving just 12 cards worth pulling. Also just south of the list this update are Clifftop Retreat, Grimgrin, and Mayor of Avabruck.
The 25-dollar Liliana has flexed her muscles this update, gaining even more ground over 2nd place, which is now a tie between Geist and Snapcaster at $21. Garruk sits way down at $12 and everything else fails to break the $7 mark. The dual lands are strong as is Champion of the Parish and Bloodline Keeper. Overall the set retains moderate value, and of course looks amazing compared to Dark Ascension. I wonder what Jeff's pack value calculation would reveal at the moment?
Why are the dual lands in Innistrad so expensive? None of the M12 lands are near as much.
Right now the innistrad duals are sitting at about: $7 for isolated chapel, $4 for sulfur falls and woodland cemetery, $3 for hinterland harbor, and $2 for Clifftop retreat.
While the duals for m12, which have been printed in 3 core sets now, as well as other random decks and things are sitting at: Drowned Catacomb: $6, Glacial Fortress: $4, Rootbound Crag, and Dragonskull Summit: $3.50, and Sunpetal Grove: $2. Looks pretty darned similar to me.

Well, the blue M10 duals are about the same price as non-blue INN duals.
Anyways, M10 lands have been reprinted twice, whereas the INN duals have never been reprinted. The greater supply of M10 duals lowers their price a bit.

Considering the number of cards per set and the possible pulls, is Innistrad a better deal when one is buying a booster box? I have store credit at a place where they don't carry singles and was wondering which one was more worthwhile overall.
