As per every other running tally thread, we're here to discuss values, projections, and directions of cards from the new set Innistrad. If you want to contribute a price list to the thread, I will add it to this opening post! However, I do recommend providing a source for your data so people understand where you're measuring from (as prices taken entirely from a single store will look different than data taken from completed eBay auctions which will look different then data taken from the low prices of a number of stores).
As always, keep posts on topic. If your post is not about Innistrad and new prices in Innistrad, this is not the thread for you I am so sorry.
Mods, please merge this with your official thread once it is up/unhidden. Much appreciated!

(Key: The card's most recent move is the rightmost one. This indicates the hottest mover of the update. indicates no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. The data is taken from here.)
These are the cards worth $3 and up. Not too bad for a large set, and of course the dual lands help in the rare spot. I can see a few definite gainers and a few definite losers on this list, but I'm interested in hearing your opinions first. One thing I'm going to say is that Skaab Ruinator isn't a $15 card in my opinion. At first I thought it was rare and thought "$1 card, maybe $2 if it finds a deck". Then I eBayed it and saw it was $15, and a mythic. I can't figure out why. I personally love Tree of Redemption as a card, though I don't know how well it will do.
I'll be updating prices, and the tally in this thread, fairly often for the first couple weeks or so.
I'm pretty surprised that Tree is so high on the list. It looks like a really fun card and pretty annoying against mono red, but still.
Most I'm not surprised with. I still think Ruinator is seriously overhyped. It's requirement to exile 3 creatures from your yard is a pretty hefty price, I can't see most decks recasting it more than once, really. I think the only thing it really has going for it is the fact that it dodges Dismember. Could it be better if we get more cards that let you discard cards as a cost or some good self-milling cards? Maybe. But right now I just don't see it holding that price. Especially since it's a 2-of at best in a deck.
The ruinator is being tested in pod decks so the price is high now. I agree the hard casting cost hinders the card greatly. I'm most curious about the Geist of saint traft and if that value will hold.
I look for Past in Flames to really shoot up soon. It's crazy good, especially with Infernal Plunge in the same set. It could even end up banned/restricted in the eternal formats.
So this guy's telling you that his family is going to be tossed out on the street penniless and starving and his dog is going to be kicked repeatedly if you don't give him a positive feedback...and he still won't honor the original deal?
Not sure why, but Snapcaster Mage's value is sure to come down. Seems a bit lofty for me at the moment. Not something I'd spend $20+ on, that's for sure.

HR Analyst. Gamer. Activist | Fearless, and forthright | Aggro-control is a mindset. Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Two cards that I could see rising are Mirror-Mad Phantasm and Cackling Counterpart I think the Phantasm can really enable some busted GY shenanigans and the counterpart's instant speed and flashback make it a very powerful card. Otherwise, the set feels like a pretty awful investment.
In summation.....Star Trek wins a prolonged naval battle against superior, yet less technologically advanced, numbers, with Picard leading the assault, while Kirk takes your soul by laying out Solo and probably his manservant Chewy as well, before impregnating and ditching your Princess.
I agree that Phantasm should go up; there seems like there'd be a combo in there somewhere, via milling yourself(by stacking 2 activations, with only one phantasm in your deck) + Lab maniac, or Memory's Journey flashed back to set up some kind of combo win. I like Cackling Counterpart, but we seem awash in versions of Clone in Standard; we'll have to see which ones rise to the top. Garruk should come down in value more precipitously than Lilliana; I don't see him as being as playable as the M12 Garruk, for example.
Another card you might see on the climb is Invisible Stalker. Even though its an uncommon card, it is making a big scene in a lot of Standard decks. I expect it to be used in at least 2 top-tier Standard decks (U/W aggro/control and B/W/U Solar Flare II) and possibly a mid-tier to high-tier Modern deck (no official decklist, just pure speculation).
Geist of Saint Traft might see a steady increase and peak to potentially $18-$20. From what I've been seeing in playtests people are pairing together Angelic Destiny and Sword of War and Peace / Sword of Feast and Famine.
It's really not worth the effort. You're better off just swinging for 10 with Angelic Destiny on your Geist rather than going through the hassle of Sundial. The trigger is possible but as the CI article pointed out it's tricky. Also it's a one-trick pony and would only value keeping your Angel tokens which isn't worth it in a competitive atmosphere.

What if you're also running venser, oblivion rings and mimic vats? Getting to keep a lot of cheap(free) creatures and permanent exiles?
I guess its still at best a FNM homebrew which won't bring value to the cards. Someday I'll find a way to trade off my foil sundial for value. It's a pretty card at least.
I'm a bit surprised to see the order of value the dual lands fell into.

Venser doesn't work with tokens, once a token is exiled it never comes back.

I would imagine that he is talking about exiling the creature that MAKES the tokens, thus making more every time that it enters play.
As far as the topic, I can not fathom Evil Twin not rising sooner than later and I have a special place in my heart for Mindshrieker.

Well, it IS a good card with plenty of potential. I think people are just bum rushing the dealers so they can get copies before the next Standard events. Interestingly, I only see him as a 2-3 of in many lists.
Lili should stay high because pros are putting her as a 4-of in every build you see.
Ruinator I WANT to see drop a bit, but it won't. I think there are plenty of tricks to be had with him.
Skaab Ruinator would be crap without Birthing Pod, Birthing Pod is a 10 dollar card, so a mythic that is required in that deck post-rotation will be worth more than the Pod. That being said, I think it'll be a 2-3 of in the deck, and never a 4-of, and it'll really only be the only deck it'll see play in so I don't expect to be gain, but I don't think it'll drop too much.
I disagree with Sulfur Falls being worth less than Past in Flames, aren't the lands all worth about the same, and even on magiccards.info it's worth more than Past in Flames.

except it's a one of if at all.
and no the lands do differ in prices, since pod is the obv deck in the new format gu is the most expensive.

A rare in second place, and surprisingly many cards gaining in price:
1) Liliana of the Veil
2) Snapcaster Mage

(Key: The card's most recent move is the rightmost one. This indicates the hottest mover of the update. indicates no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. The data is taken from here.)
As I mentioned above, many cards gained in price this update. That's not usually the case in the early states of a new set, in my experience. Perhaps it will cool down as it usually does, once the set is actually released to the public. But right now, singles are hot. There are 2 more slots this time (2 more cards are worth at least $3).
Liliana sits far above second place, in the mid thirties. It's being played and tested all over the place, so this isn't likely to change soon. Snapcaster Mage (a rare!?) takes second spot, leaving Garruk, Identity Problems in the dust. The mythics Geist and Skaab both look solid around $15. Past in Flames and the dual land cycle hug the $7 mark as Heartless Summoning rushes up to meet them. Olivia Voldaren gained a bit in price, as has Angelic Overseer... actually most of the rest of the list. Gromoire of the Dead sank but almost everything else added 50c or more. Stromkirk Noble moved $1.50 to appear on the list. Champion of the Parish is also new in the $3 and up club.
Sales have been pretty good so far. I expect this set to do at least moderately well.
Well that's good to hear. It would be nice for once if a set started off low price and then picked up steam. I'm a little surprised to Snapcaster Mage in second, but the set hasn't officially launched yet, so I'm betting he won't stay there forever even tho he is the best card in the set.

WoTC, thank you for finally announcing the Modern format, an eternal format where everyone can participate.
I see a few cards on that list that will clearly drop a lot, namely Tree of Redemption, Angelic Overseer and Grimoire of the dead. I think that they are 1-2$ mythics. Grimgrin will also drop.
I am very surprised with Heartless Summoning though. I thought it was jank.
Lastly, I hope that Mirror-Mad Phantasm will catch on as I think it has potential and I picked up a few for scraps
