What languages are pimp (>English) for zen fetches and ons fetches? I did read the pimp article, but I'd like to get some more viewpoints. From what I observe, it seems that ALL languages > english for the ZEN fetches, I just want to double-check on this for the ONS ones as well. How about Italian/French as corner cases, would values increase on either of the fetches?
Oh and one last hypothetical - would it be a good trade trading zen fetches for ons fetches at their current fair market price? Would the limited supply for ONS fetches outweigh the practicalities of utilizing some of the zen fetches since some are 'better', i.e. scalding tarn colors vs bloodstained mire colors?
For languages it's interesting. Generally speaking, the only ones I'd prefer over english would be Japanese and Russian (well, if korean existed :P). Technically all languages are worth more then english, but it's a lot harder to find someone that wants italian, or french, or portugese.
I always prefer onslaught fetches over zendikar ones because of rarity. Arguably, the zendikar ones are a better pick up right now because they are quite low, and there's a decent chance that onslaught ones will be reprinted, which would drop their prices a bit.
I think any non-Chinese asian language is probably pimp while Chinese is anti-pimp and lowers the value. Any language that uses the same alphabet is significantly less pimp.
Most players that care about pimping only really care about Russian and Japanese. Any other language is going to be the same as English at best but usually slightly less (at least for Zendikar and Onslaught).
Pimp is all a matter of opinion. Personally I love Chinese. I think the characters are better looking than Japanese, and Zendikar in Chinese is really hard to find. I would love to get a playset of Chinese foil Zen lands, but good luck finding those. The fact that you can sometimes get Chinese cheaper than Japanese is a major plus for me. There are still some cards that are super expensive and hard to find in Chinese. In the end it's all what's appealing to you.
Hrm, I think part of this may also be an online/offline thing, when I trade in person, I never fail to trade any non-English card for more than English (other than the ones from Legends/The Dark), perhaps due to local rarity, but I do see that online sometimes people value the foreign ones less. No love for Italian ONS fetches eh?

Shockingly, French seems primarily popular in Europe.
That's about it, really.
