I went through a phase a few years ago where I would snap up as many of these as I could from the basic land boxes. I was into 'all things Portal' for a while, not just lands.
I have a ton of them.
Generally speaking, are these worth anything to anyone?
There are two rarities of the Portal lands. Ones that came in the precons and demo-packs and the three other pics that were only availlable in boosters.

For example is pretty rare land and for a person, who knows about these can go for closer to 0.5 $ each, while the common one is maybe 15 cents.
I know that I paid happily 0.5 € for the last missing pieces, from a playset of certain pics a year ago.
The 'common' versions from starter packs go for 10 $ if mint and the booster versions for 15-25 $ if mint. Even the Swaps (with regular pics) go for 2-5 $ if truly mint.
I pay .25 on NM Portal basic lands, as most people either trashed them or won't bother to dig them out of their box when I pay only .10 on them.
I get a decent response at .25, which leads me to believe .20-.25 is about right. I offered .35 on Mirage Islands and got a ton of response, which leads me to believe I overpaid, but I got a stack of NM sexy Mirage basics.

sdematt: This only goes to show that people don't know what they have with the Portal 1 lands. (And most likely Portal product sold better in States and Canada than in Northern Europe, so there's more availlable)
Still if you check the ratios of each pic, you need to buy over 100 Portal 1 Island to get 10 pic 4's, not to mention getting a monoU-control decks worth. And if you want specific pictures, you need to pay more, as it takes some effort for people to go and find those.
But great to hear that Mirage lands can nowadays be worth almost the time to seperate them from my old land boxes. I used to use them in all my decks, before moving to non-foil promos as my lands of choice.
Mirage Swamps and Plains in particular I am rather fond of. I wish they would do new frame versions of some of them and/or full art, but c'est la vie.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
I didn't notice until long after M11 draft season was over, but the Portal 1 Island Pic 4 was in M11 packs. Gorgeous in the old frame, looks half as good in the new. Shame.

If you happen to have any Simplified Chinese lands, with the alternative art, those are worth some money: http://www.magiclibrarities.net/506-rarities-simplified-chinese-alternate-art-cards-simplified-chinese-cards-portal.html

The Mirage lands in general are very nice, but I've looked around and apparently I'm not the only one who's a fan of Mirage/Portal.
I'd love to get into all Guru, but at that point, I should just be doing regular basics and Beta duals
Also, I wasn't aware that pic 4 for Portal 1 was desirable/rarer than the others. Good to know. Thanks for the tip!
