I have 2 filler cards, one with the white front with black borders and the one that's all black on the front that have been bouncing around my crap commons for a while and got a bit scuffed up on the edges. I know these are normally worth about $5 so I was wondering if this still worth anything or the fact that it's scuffed makes it worthless now. Thanks.
I doubt if they are worthless, as there is bound to be someone who still thinks they are cool. The white one with black borders is fairly common to find in NM/Mint condition, so I figure it would take the biggest hit. You still might get a few dollars out of it, or even full value if you find the right trade partner.
As far as I know, the all black one is worth quite a bit more than the other. I'd say $25, but I haven't been paying attention to recent auctions, so I may be off. Even if it is slightly scuffed, it is almost certainly worth something in trade. I know I'd be interested in it.
It really just depends on the amount of scuffing. Scans would certainly help.
EDIT: Just checked recent eBay auctions and have found that these cards have exploded in price recently. The white one with black borders goes for $20 to $40 now. The black one only had a single auction that ended at close to $50.
