Well, unless Zendikar facilitates strategies that can replace the loss of Kithkin and Tokens, no, the value will not hold. If you plan on using the card before the rotation, of course you should get it. If you're trying to plan ahead, I'd avoid it.
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.

So soldiers are not good?White weenie has almost always been a deck type and will continue to be one for a long long time.
I just traded for one 1 is to one for my drowned catacombs, was it a ok deal or just even?
I like that deal, personally. I think that HoTP will stay relatively high for a while. I'm not sure about $10, but Kiths are good now and Soldiers seem to be those to take up the mantle. Nobody really knows what's coming up soon, and it's tough to build control for an unknown meta. So for at least the first bit after shifting, I'd say yes, it will stay around $10 until a meta is established, then it will move up or down.
I think the fact that it is an intro pack is enough that it probably will never get above the $10 mark. I think it will stay around $7-8 for it's time in standard.

Quote from Fry, from Futurama »
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

And no, I don't think soldiers are a good enough replacement for Kithkin, BUT I do believe that they'll at least keep White Weenie around as a small part of the meta, or as a rogue deck. Which will keep Honor of the Pure from bottoming out, but it should drop.

And don't forget it bumps all the solid GW creatures that are in Alara Block too.... Like:
Being in a precon has never kept the prices down for chase rares. All that does is either keep the price of the precons up at card shops, or make them impossible to find at dumb-box retailers.
As does M10 itself. I don't see any reason why its current price should drop significantly.

Remember Rat's Nest?
