The judge stepped to the center of the arena. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have two combatants in their inaugral battle! In this corner, of House Hammerheim, I present Goda! Just arriving in estark, I present Nols!" With that, the crowd erupted into cheers. "BEGIN!" The Judge yelled, before running out of the ring.
OOC: Just in case you're unsure, the battle is non-lethal, and you begin at 15 life. Roll a d20 for initiative.
Nols walks unto the arena floor and looks over the spectators' seats, eying the cheering crowd, he feel strangely invigorated by this and caught up in the moment he doesn't realize the creeping smile underneath his tagelmust. Composing himself he eyes his opponent warily as he prepares to engage Goda.

Well... for whatever amounts to preparation, clearly it's not what Nols envisioned. EDIT: I totally saw a three on my preview of the post o-o
Goda bows to the judge. He takes out his staff and conjures up a small stone monolith next to him. He stares at his opponent with a smile and shows him the go.
Nols observes as the monument rises before Goda, making it a mental note to brace himself for whatever may come. Not wishing to fall behind, he tries to conjure up images of his homeland; pictures begin to flash in and out of his thoughts as he gathers up that energy. He is surrounded by a faint blue aura whilst he waits for his opponent's next move.
Goda sees a blue whisp around his opponent, and understands that if he doesn't act fast, things are going to get really tough. So before his opponent has the chance to respond, he causes the spire to crumble. Using the combustible mana, he starts to arc electricity from his staff. He then swings his staff toward his opponent, causing the lightning to shoot toward his opponent.
He sees his opponent seared slightly, and starts his turn. His spire reforms, and he taps his staff to the ground, causing another spire to be created. He smiles again, and signals his opponent that his turn can begin.
Nols raises an arm to brace himself for the incoming blow as the crackling energy strikes him, the electricity archs through him, burning his flesh. He's somewhat glad he's not wearing any conductive materials lest he sport something nastier than just a couple of burns. His flesh blackened, he tries to compose himself before Goda. He follows with a smirk, (It's a damn shame I can't do anything about this.) he thinks, shortly before composing himself. Closing his eyes he gathers even more energy, the pallor of his aura is strengthened subtly. Surreptitiously he raises his lower right arm and gestures in a commanding motion as the blue energy streams from his being and out from his hand, the light is then particulated into moats that form a pillar of light which slowly takes the form of a vaguely humanoid form. The light recedes, revealing a humanoid donning a strange mechanical armor.
Goda sees a blue man step out of the mists. "Cool beans." However, Goda pays no attention to this new threat, and crumbles the two spires. This time, his spear arcs more electricity than before. Once again, he swings his staff toward his opponent, causing two electric shocks to scorch his body. Goda is pleased with himself.

Play: 2x Shock to the face (lol)
The spires once again reform as Goda's turn begins. He thinks to himself. <This ain't too tough>. He then forms a new spire, with a triangular configuration of all three. Now, Goda understands that if blue mages get too much mana, his spells get useless. So he has to unleash all his might now. He crumbles all three spires on his turn. His staff then glows on both ends, but not the same glow. He does some cool Jackie chan moves, and shoots and electric shock and a stream of fire toward his opponent.

(Incoming) he tells himself, bracing himself for the impact as two bolts of electricty arch toward him, scarring him once more. He'll need to do something quick if he's to win this match. Another bolt of lightning shoots toward him, followed with flames which envelop him in a conflagration. He knows he's not going to be able to take much more of this. Following his foe's brutal assault he tarries in composing himself before reconnecting himself to the flow of mana. He feels the energy returning to him as his aura manifests once more, stronger than last time. He feels he's capable of standing up to the next assault.
He turns toward his conjured helper and directs him to attack, the humanoid responds, charging toward the red mage and brandishing a small blade. He knows the damage it would deal would pale in comparison to what his foe has done to him, however he needs to save his energy for something more at the time.
(Strange...) he coos, eying his opponent with suspicion as he expected another brutal onslaught from his opponent's part, still he doesn't feel quite safe by this little show of mercy by his opponent's part. Gathering his energies he re-establishes himself with the flow of mana and adds to the well of mana that's been gathering all around him.
Deciding to play it safe this turn, he draws a bit of his power and temporarily shunts some power away from his foe, crippling any sudden attacks that may happen before he's allowed to act again. Then ordering his creature to engage the opponent once more, the wizard takes arms against Goda, trying to pierce him with his ritual weapon.

Played Twiddle, tapping one of Goda's Mountains
Attacked with Lumengrid Warden (1/3)
Goda sees some blue whisps travelling toward his spires, and decides to take action before they do anything. He crumbled it and another one of his spires. Doing so imbued his staff with flames, and he pointed it at his opponent, sending a stream of flames.
Tapped the targetted mountain and another.
Played: Incinerate directed at Nols.
Goda then sees the blue wizard with the knife charge at him again. He gets to a defensive stance, and tries to ward him off with his staff, but to no avail. The wizard slashed him again. <ARGH! PAIN!> He thought.
(Crap...) he tells himself as the Kor responds to his little play with one of his own, as the stream of flame gushes forth, he knows he's got but a split second to make his decision, does he protect himself or does he take the blow? And if he takes the blow, what's stopping the other player from using the same spell on him next turn? He decides to allow the spell to hit him, if only to protect himself later.
Goda sees the flameblast hit its mark, signaling his turn and his victory. But he has to win first. Reforming all of his spires around him, he creates a fourth one. He then starts his final assault. Crumbling his two spires, he opens the door to the tent behind him, and out emerges a human warrior with a spear. Goda waves at him, and signals that he should attack. The warrior does so, charging the defenseless blue mage with his spear.
I'm pretty sure you'll win, however if I can help losing I'll try and survive for as long as I can.
Nols sends his humanoid cohort to intercept the attack, the armored mage receives the creature's blow. Preparing himself for whatever else may come of this person he keeps his reserve in check should he need to shield himself.

Goda's warrior hits its mark, causing his opponent to drop to 0. As soon as this happens, Goda taps his staff to the ground, releasing all of the pent up mana. His warrior then crumbles into nothing.
Goda walks up to his opponent and extends his arm to help his opponent up.
<"That was well played. I hope that we can spar again sometime."> Goda says with a smile.
