Thread Hijacked - EMN Discussion and speculation starts here.
With Shadows Over Innistrad story wrapped up, it’s time to turn our attention to the Eldritch Moon story line, which will start June 8th. A few things to start speculating about from Shadows that definitely, may, or may not have an impact on how Innistrad 2 will conclude such as and not limited to: what is the Eldritch Moon? how will Liliana and the Chain Veil play into the rest of the story? Nahiri? what are the consequences of Avacyn's unmaking (beyond the Eldritch Moon will appear)? who will live and/or die and/or appear? will any of the Iron Scrolls be used? and the broadest question of how will Innistrad come to an end?
Well, today's story did not exactly reveal much we did not know or had not anticipated. I found it a bit irritating that Jace - again - acted like a teenager with the repeated yelling at Sorin, a clearly absurdly powerful ancient vampire, who moments before wouldn't have minded Avacyn killing him.
Nahiri's plan worked. The plane is gonna collapse in on itself. Zendikar is alive because the Eldrazi were the evil on that plane. What Sorin did was equivalent to killing the God or Allah of Innistrad. There will be very powerful evils coming soon.
avacyn is gone so the shields are down and emrakul can exert her full influence on the plane and it's inhabitants.
I think jace needs to finally get in a duel with one of these oldwalkers and get humbled. he is rude to anybody who isn't his friend already and he never actually has to fight for himself, which annoys me. look at the gatewatch storyline, all the other jacetus league members actually did something. jace just kind of sat on the sidelines and made a plan that was really convenient to the plot. I think for his character to grow he needs to get kozilek'd (more like kozilrekt) the way kiora did.
on the topic of planeswalker duels, I am looking forward to the confrontation between sorin and nahiri now that is is clear she accomplished at least part of what she set out to do.
One observation from today's story: the UR storyline doesn't entirely match up with the Fat Pack summary again. In that, the final paragraph says "With Avacyn gone, Jace tried to convince Sorin to come back to Zendikar and help the Gatewatch deal with Emrakul. But Sorin suddenly realised what Nahiri had been doing, and that he had played right into her plan...", but we got none of that at the end of SoI. So will that occur at the start of EMN? Or is it just an aberration, like Kiora plaeswalking away from Zendikar in despair? Because the Fat Pack really implies that Jace mentioning Emrakul is what gives Sorin his 'oh *****' epiphany.

For the love of Serra, could you please stop with the Jace hate already. You don't like Jace. We get it. You've only mentioned it like a million times before. At this point, you're just looking for things to nitpick with him. Jace is Jace. He's here to stay. Your complaining isn't going to change that, so please stop dragging the rest of us down with you.

I'm sorry for bringing it up again, but I actually like Jace quite a lot. I just thought it came off kinda odd, but you are right, that exact characteristic should probably be expected from him at this stage.
Oh, and I loved the line where the "fiends" look at each other. The "wait what" was nearly tangible.
Honestly, after all that happened, if it really was Nahiri behind all of it I would be extremely disappointed if she doesn't eat it in the end.
Well, they probably will have some pseudo psychological reason for her to be "bad/influenced" which will excuse everything and ***** cause they are too afraid to kill of an ancient Walker.
Seriously, so far Nahiri's reasoning for doing all that is beyond <snip> and overblown, I hope she gets better justification or motivation to plan and execute all that. Not like her homeplane is in shambles and could use a bit help from her or anything...

The fat pack summaries are to be taken with a grain of salt. I read that the Oath of the Gatewatch one was actually incorrect, although I never saw that one for myself. And while the Shadows over Innistrad one has not been far off, it may show a pattern that the there may be communication problems in Wizards of the Coast at least when it comes to executing these those pamphlets. Another example is Liliana's Indignation, both the card and the story were left off the fat pack pamphlet.
The most likely possibility is that when Innistrad 2 picks up in June, when we get back to Jace, Sorin, and Tamiyo, that's where their story will begin.

No. If Wizards kills off my favorite planeswalker again, they will have hell to pay.

Apart from the card itself, I really don't see the appeal, lorewise.
So far, she is the equivalent to the one-night stand who you promised to call back but never did, who then goes and destroys the custom paint job of your car. Like, really Nahiri girl?
Well if the Nahiri-locked-in-Helvault theory is true,
I call, and the last three of my twinkling-eyed angels, the final guardians of the Cathedral, encircle him. They attack him in concert with sword and claw, blows many and fierce. They close in on him, shrieking, slicing from all sides. Markov must feel the way I felt inside the Helvault, with demons' wings grazing me in the lightless void.
I guess being stuck with demons for centuries, unable to help Zendikar would turn her violently against Sorin.
Surprised she got a card in SOI and not EMN when there's no direct appearance of her thus far.

There's a bit of an oddity between the Shadows Over Innistrad set and the Uncharted Realms in that there are events in the sets that are not covered in the Uncharted Realms. Structural Distortion, Warped Landscape, and Nahiri's Machinations all depict events that happened before Avacyn went Mad, and Nahiri, the Harbinger is depicted right after Structural Distortion. The cards makes me wonder if there is either an Uncharted Realm that was cut or that we'll get as a flashback during Eldritch Moon.
We still got two crazy angels out there, no doubt if they continue their madness they will be Sorin's enemies again. I have a feeling they will serve Lilina?

Nahiri, more likely. She's behind what's going on, and it's been established that it's Gisa, not Liliana, that is responsible for the ghouls in Nephalia.

Heck no! Don't you know how much Lili hates angels? She'd kill them on the spot.
Remains to be seen whether they'll still be crazy with Avacyn gone. I'd love DFCs for them in EMN where they start as the mad versions, but can revert to their true selves.

I think they will return, since it was said Avacyn madness was infecting them as well, they "synced" up to Avacyn. I'd love to see the mad angels transform into her true self in card form.

Burn from Within seems to suggest that this could be the last of Sorin.
I've seen this brought up before but don't understand it. Why does this card imply Sorin's death? The vampire on the card doesn't look like Sorin and is likely some random vamp. Is there something I'm missing?

I guess the question is if that's Sorin or not. It does look like him, but white-haired vampire is a pretty ubiquitous stereotype. Plus, his armor is missing and the collar is a little to high.
I wonder what Liliana will do with the Veil at that tower. The relation between her and Dierk.
Maybe there is a connection between Liliana and Nahiri and all the events? All directs that Lili will be the center of events in EMN...

That is not Sorin. He doesn't wear that stereotypical ridiculous Dracula cape.
