Is it just a coincidence or does Yawgmoth from the Magic Universe seem to be directly influenced my YOG-SOTHOTH from the Lovecraft novels? I honestly think the similarities are far to similar to be insignificant.
The only similarity I see is the raising from the dead part, but even then, it says it's name is used in the chant. No, Yawgmoth is a unique creation, and an awesome villain at that!

Common sense isn't so common... Thanks to PotN at Solar Flare Studios for the awesome sig!
If Dark Depths is ever put in a core set, I will bite myself with joy if its flavor text is "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death can die"-Abdul Alhazred
