Colorless mana is a type of mana that can be added to your mana pool, represented by C.
Generic mana is the non-color-specific portion of a cost (like Priest of Titania's mana cost). You can use any type of mana (colored or colorless) to pay the generic mana component of the cost. So to cast Priest of Titania you pay G and one mana of any color or colorless.

1) yes
2) yes
3) Colorless mana is now denoted as C. That requires that you use specific colorless mana, similar to how G requires specifically Green mana, instead of 1 which can be paid with any type of mana.
1. Generic mana costs can be paid by mana of any color or type. (Barring any restrictions on the mana, like Cavern of Souls tapping for a color, you can't use that mana to cast an instant)
2. Sol Ring produces colorless mana, which can be used for any costs that do not require a specific color.
3. Colorless mana is a type and can be produced by various sources. Generic mana is only a cost, and thus cannot be produced.
For reference, here are the relevant rules:
Mana rules:
106.1a There are five colors of mana: white, blue, black, red, and green.
106.1b There are six types of mana: white, blue, black, red, green, and colorless.
107.4b Numerical symbols (such as {1}) and variable symbols (such as {X}) represent generic mana in costs. Generic mana in costs can be paid with any type of mana. For more information about {X}, see rule 107.3.
202.1a The mana cost of an object represents what a player must spend from his or her mana pool to cast that card. Unless an object’s mana cost includes Phyrexian mana symbols (see rule 107.4f), paying that mana cost requires matching the type of any colored or colorless mana symbols as well as paying the generic mana indicated in the cost.
And the definition of Generic Mana:
Generic Mana
Mana in a cost represented by numerical symbols (such as {1}) or variable symbols (such as {X}) that can be paid with mana of any type. See rule 107.4.
1) Can the generic mana be paid by mana of any colour? Just yes or no.
2) Can the generic mana be paid by colorless mana itself like Sol Ring? Just yes or no.
Yes and yes, generic costs can be paid with any type of mana.
3) How is colorless mana different from generic mana? Explain like I am 5 please.
There is no generic mana, but there are generic costs. There is colorless mana which is a type of mana just like red mana or green mana, and there are colorless costs. Generic costs can be paid with any type of mana, colored and/or colorless. A colorless cost can only be paid with colorless mana, it demands that specific type of mana. A card that adds C to your mana pool adds mana of the colorless type to your pool.
106.1b is missing Snow Mana. Which is a weirdly odd characteristic of mana produced by snow permanents.
106.1b lists types of mana. The snow mana symbol doesn’t belong there as it isn’t a type of mana. Rather, it’s a variant of the generic mana symbol (numbers in circles). Being generic mana, it appears only in costs.
107.4h. The snow mana symbol {S} represents one generic mana in a cost. This generic mana can be paid with one mana of any type produced by a snow permanent (see rule 205.4f). Effects that reduce the amount of generic mana you pay don't affect {S} costs. (There is no such thing as "snow mana"; "snow" is not a type of mana.)

Somebody is running around the forums with a quote from me on the subject. I'll paraphrase:
A cost of W can be paid with one white mana.
A cost of U can be paid with one blue mana.
A cost of B can be paid with one black mana.
A cost of R can be paid with one red mana.
A cost of G can be paid with one green mana.
A cost of C can be paid with one colorless mana.
A cost of 1 can be paid with one mana of any type.
There are also snow mana costs (S), which are like 1 but only accept mana generated by Snow permanents, and hybrid mana costs ((W/U), (2/W), (W/P)), which can be paid in one of two different ways (one white or one blue mana; one white or two mana in any combination of colors; and one white mana or two life, respectively).
Also note, generic mana is only applicable to costs; mana abilities cannot generate "generic" mana, they can only generate mana of the five colors and/or colorless.
