so i was playing mtg with a friend and then he cast'd Sundering Titan now i was playing a mono color deck at the time and he chose forest. now the ruling of sundering said to destroy "Each basic land types" but i only have 1 type of land. The question is will all my forest's be destroyed or just 1?
One. Your opponent must choose exactly one land of each basic land type (unless there isn't a land with one of the basic land types on the battlefield; he'll just skip that one.) He only chooses one Forest land, one Plains land, one Island land, etc.
Example:
I control a Forest and an Island. My opponent controls an Island, a Plains, and a Mountain.
He must destroy my Forest and his own Plains and Mountain. He may destroy either my or his Island. He makes no choice for Swamps since there aren't any on the battlefield.
Your opponent must choose a single plains if there is one available to target. The same is true for island, swamp, mountain, and forest.
If you only have forests, and say your opponent has both islands and swamps, he must choose one of your forests, one of his own islands, and one of his own swamps.
Example:
I control a Forest and an Island. My opponent controls an Island, a Plains, and a Mountain.
