This may be a dumb question, but in doing a search, I couldn't find an answer to it.
You have to pay three to equipt the Warhammer on a creature. Can you MOVE the hammer to another creature by paying another three mana, or is is attached "permanently" to a creature and goes with it into the graveyard?
On that same theme, if I bouce a creature back into my hanbd, what happens to the hammer? Does it stay there, waiting to be equipted onto another creature, or does it go to the graveyard?

In art class today, we decided to break in the new kiln by putting in objects the manual specifically prohibits! I can see why 'car battery' is on the top of the list. I get it now.

But seriously, if you can't remember "Woapalanne", just call me Eli.
You can't force a creature to throw down its equipment; once a creature is equipped, that equipment will remain on that creature until either 1) the creature dies, 2) you equip it to another creature, or 3) an effect tells you to unequip it.

Thanks a bunch. I'm using the Warhammer in a Calciderm bounce deck and that was the answer I was hoping for. I'd love to be able to take a couple of swings with Dermie, then bounce him back to my hand end of their turn, put it on another creature and keep swinging. Thanks a lot, everyone.

Equipment doesn't work like an Aura; it can exist happily in play without being held and can be passed around. Cochese has it right.
If the creature is bounced, the equipment will fall off and remain in play not attached to anything.

Since at no point during the activaction of the equip ability was the equipment unequipped from the creature it equipped, it's still there.
