I played Minimus Containment on an opponent's Borrowed Time. I did not know if this was going to work. It did not.
This did not return my exiled creature to the board, which may be understandable(?)...except that after my opponent sacrificed his Borrowed Time as a Treasure Token my creature was returned into play.
If Minimus Containment causes Borrowed Time to lose all of it's abilities, I would think that either: 1. the exiled creature would be immediately returned into play; or 2. The exiled creature is forever lost in exile.
Once Borrowed Time loses it's abilities, shouldn't the creature detach from it and go...somewhere?
This is working as intended. Borrowed Time exiles a permanent "until Borrowed Time leaves the battlefield." It does not matter if Borrowed Tine loses its abilities or changes its name, the exiled permanent is exiled until it leaves the battlefield.
