My DCI card is absolutely beaten and worn from use. Often I would have to read my code to the LGS organizer because the numbers are faded. For a while now, I've been thinking of trying to find if WOTC has a replacement policy for DCI cards. Is there anyway except getting a new DCI number to order a replacement or better DCI card?

We used to have this great thing called the player rewards program.
You played in events, got free cards based on how many you played in (not junk like FNM forbidden alchemy, real cards like wrath of god and damnation full art foils) AND had the option of getting a snazy plastic DCI card to avoid things like this.
However, wizards is very firm on their relatively new "nobody gets good promos cept' judges" policy, thus this program had to go.
As far as I know, your only option now is to reprint your card online from your DCI account (I think?). Have heard people talk about this but don't actually know much about it.
Not the answer you're looking for - but just memorize your DCI number. I haven't had an actual card for over 10 years now. And it's less stuff to carry around!
My DCI card is from an SCG event where I had forgotten my card, and its actually fairly durable, having been washed a dozen times. The card itself means nothing at all though, you could just as easily scribble it on the back of a business card...
Or do the smart thing like another poster said and save it in your phone.
All you need to remember is the number. You don't need a physical card, and you will never get a plastic card from DCI. You can't even reprint it from the Planeswalker Points page.
I liked the old system better though. There's simply no incentive to play in FNM right now except for the free booster prizes and getting a possible bye. You don't have to give out mythics as prizes but at the very least make it something a bit valuable like shocklands.
1) Store your DCI number in your phone (or some other viewable memory device you carry around.)
2) Write down your DCI number on a card you will not throw/sell/trade, sleeve it up, and put it into the last slot of your binder (if you carry binders to your LGS for trades.)
3) If you go to your LGS often enough, try getting your LGS owner to record down your DCI number, I've seen stores do this with regulars so they don't ever need to fill in their numbers.
Any one would work, but it's best you either employ at least 1) or 2), especially if you go several places to play, as 3) is largely for convenience (and if your LGS owner forgets it, you are even less likely to remember.)
Thanks guys I really appreciate the answers. I thought the DCI card was essential because of the bar code, but I guess just the number is needed. There were some really great ways to improvise the DCI number that I would have never thought it. Thanks again.
These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

After being forced to write down more than five times, I remembered it. I occasionally blanked out once or twice but then like 5 minutes later I'd remember it. Now it just doesn't happen anymore.

Actually, it was because too many stores and players were cheating the system and getting cards they didn't earn. Sorry to intrude reality into your persecution fantasy.
To the OP: Current DCI numbers are 10 digits long, which is the length of a phone number with area code. Put it in your phone under "DCI". Call it some time to see who you're linked to!

Your LGS should only need your number once, anyway. WER has a "local player database" that they should be able to store you in. Then they can just enroll you in a tournament from there. You don't need to scan it every time.
But agreed with everyone else, it is the same length as a phone number. If you really need it that often, memorize it (a good thing to do regardless), and if you can't do that, store it in your phone.
Also, for what it is worth, my plastic judge DCI card seems to be holding up fine, but the last MPR one I got (The Sarkhan one) was completely unreadable in like 3 days.
If you want to spend like $10 you can get a plastic DCI card made, it's pretty nice I've had one for about 2 years..although I only need it after long times of not playing since it's memorized.

Standard - N/A
Modern - Infect, Scapeshift
Legacy - TES, High Tide
The reason it was discontinued was because of the cost of mailing those promos.

The 2 places I play at have my number on file though
Alternatively, you could write it in sharpie on a Land or something and then laminate it or put tape over it.

I had mine memorized when I was 13, when I got back in the game, I still knew it.
