If Wotc decided to print a GOLD BORDERED product consisting of just the p9,4 workshops, 4 bazzars, and a time vault in a box. All gold border with no change to tournament legality (aka your buying 18 really legit looking proxies) would you buy it? If so how much would you pay for it? and would it make you want to play vintage (sanctioned or otherwise) any more then you do now?
Since my playgroup's shift from mostly (casual) Vintage to EDH recently, I don't think I would have much of an interest in such a product. Especially since none of us own any of those cards so to buy it would give me a significant advantage (if we allowed it).
I'd rather just proxy them if I had such a desire...
Why would I want to play Vintage more because I spent money on cards I couldn't even legitimately play?
I think most people are players first, collectors second. It's not the same landscape as it was in the 90's, something like this I just don't see a lot of interest in.
If it came in a nice box, I could see paying 20.00, 30.00 if they were foiled. I would want them to have legit-looking backs, and round corners though. If I recall, doesn't the reserve list cover special printings these days?

Tournament legal ones anyway. I think you can still get away with gold/silver bordered stuff since its not a regular or premium printing.
Surprisingly, printing non-tournament legal version of cards does not solve the problem of there not being enough of them for the people who want to use them in tournaments.
I would definitely be interested in something like that. I think it would be one of those things where if one person in the store bought one, others would be inclined to do so as well. Power is fun to play with, even without tournament support. Plus, I think a lot of cube players would go for this as well, since power is likely one of most proxied cards in cubes.
If they aren't tourney legal, there isn't a lot of incentive to buy them for play. I guess they could be used casually, but I can't imagine many people play power casually.
There isn't much incentive from a collector standpoint either, so I think I'd pass.

I would buy them. If the price was reasonable and they had regular Magic backs I would buy multiple sets. I would want one for my binder, one for my cube, plus some for my vintage decks and friends. Wizards licensed proxies? That's the next best thing to just reprinting P9. I'm a casual player so a nice proxy is functionally identical to the real thing for me. I'm not going to pull my P9 out of binders and carry them around. That's just asking for a disaster. My friends and I have been using home-made proxies for years.
They could call it From the Vault: P(roxy)9.
I wouldn't think twice about spending $70-$80 on this product (what I already pay for a FTV).

Gold bordered cards already exist. They don't sell well.
Depends. If its something along $.05 a card, sure.
Even for proxies, gold bordered is ugly. If I wanted good looking proxies, I'd start with black or white bordered, then get alternate art or do it myself.
It should also be noted that gold bordered is not only disallowed in sanctioned tournaments, they're also disallowed in non-sanctioned ones. That may sound weird, but, there you go. Look up at SCG's guidelines for proxies allowed in their tournaments. Nearly every vintage tournament that allows proxies follows those guidelines.
Proxies that look like crap AND I can't even use in an unsanctioned tournament? They'd better be cheaper than dirt.
There are already gold-bordered Power 9. It is called Collector's Edition. The Black Lotus will set you back about $200. The Moxen set you back about $60 each. Time Walk is about $80. The entire set can be had for about $1200.
Why would we want another one of these? Just so you can spend money to have expensive proxies? An decent printer can give you excellent printouts, that you can trim nicely, glue to a basic land card, and have a proxy almost as good for the cost of printing them out.

I think the big thing, would be to reprint the A/B/U dual lands in with it. Not to many people care about the P9 anymore. But if you add in duals for all the casual players out there, these would sell.
Personally I would buy them. I already play Vintage, but I would hope it would bring more people into the format. I think $20 for some type of starter deck size packs, 60 or so cards, would be reasonable.
Currently looking to buy miscut Homelands, (my wife thinks I'm crazy too).
