I have finally completed my mono black vamp deck and i want a mono green spider deck, i have seen a few but they always break the whole " Spider" deck thing and add beats that dont qualify under spiders...
anyways ! i have a few ideas but would love some opinions or suggestions for great spider cards, or enchantments i probably over looked..never really played with green!
You'll want Arachnus Web and Arachnus Spinner. There's a fair amount of spider-related spells and stuff out there.
The spiders themselves are mostly just a bunch of dorks with Reach and high toughness, maybe with Deathtouch or some ability that wrecks fliers. You may wanna consider splashing red - Dragonlair Spider can give you some free bugs, and you can get Giant Trap Door Spider, which is without question THE coolest spider in the game (not the most effective, but you're making a spider deck, I'm not sure you're too worried about the power curve).

First and foremost, you want Blightwidow. Attacking into a 2/4 Giant Spider isn't particularly scary, and I'll bounce my 3/3 into that all day to get other things through. A 2/4 Giant Spider with Infect, however, means my 3/3 is going to come out of that fight pretty scarred.

I play a lot of tribal, and spiders are one of my favorites. The reason people add non-spiders to spider tribal decks is because spiders are not a self-contained win condition in the way Goblins (aggro and burn), Elves (aggro, swarm and elfball), Slivers (too many to count) and the other tribes are. In a nutshell, they are inefficient, slow creatures that excel on defense and little else.
The best spider deck I've built WITHOUT such an off-tribe beater is SpiderFog: a slower (and even less fun to play against) version of Turbofog that is mono-green, utilizes Fog effects on top of Arachnus Spinner and Arachnus Web, and seeks to win with draw and mill effects to run out the opponent's library.
That's the sort of line you need to be thinking about - not just "what spiders are coolest to play," but "what's my plan to win with a spider deck?" You need a plan, because there's only so much fun you can have piloting spiders against a deck full of flyswatters.

Yeah thats exactly where I am at , not worrying too much about how cool or powerful I am comming out..I am looking pretty strong on nullying, just havent found a correct way to get mulptle spiders out since most do cost quiet a bit..I am use to my vamp deck which had the highest cost of 4 for a creature , everything else was below so within a few turns i had a pretty good field of goons going
to be honest i want to base my deck from the incubator..which is a stupid idea that wouldnt work, but i am somewhat trying..that will get the blightwidow out without even a worry! also putting a 4 swarmyards and coat of arms...i like! jsut will it work hahha
Changelings, Adaptive Automaton, and any other such things are only acceptable if you alter the card art to make it match the tribe you're building a deck around.
If I were to make a spider deck, I would make a standard one with maybe four of each spider, forests, Cavern of Souls, Green Sun's Zenith, and Arachnus Web. I don't even care about winning, I just want to drop uncounterable spiders and tap them to put webs on my opponent's creatures. Silklash Spider is the best since it can just kill all of the fliers. And it having 7 toughness makes it pretty hard to kill too.
I actually tried at one point after M12 to make a Standard spider deck. It was fun, but WAY slow, and would only win about 1 game of ten. I ended up tearing it down. Just didn't have enough win in it for me.

Sentinel Spider is wonderful - hits much harder than your typical spider. Probably a 4-of. I'd also recommend Blightwidow and (if you end up going G/R for Dragonlair Spider) Ember Weaver. First Strike's always nice. Gloomwidow's a decent beatstick. Jungle Weaver's nothing exceptional, but cycles. I remember Kessig Recluse doing good work in DKA limited. If you still need a big beater to round out the game, I'd recommend Goliath Spider.

I see a lot of spiders. I have no idea what you are talking about.
Old Trade Thread
Powerdouble - Shrine of Burning Rage wins games you have no business winning.
Tanion - Humans are basically short bus Allies. Lame.
Look up, above your head. That's the joke. Changelings are also spiders.
Chameleon Colossus is an excellent choice for anything tribal, actually. Easily the best spider out there.

I love me some deadly recluse. I'm sure he curves nicely in a spider deck.
