Ernes? Never heard of it, but Google tells me of a place called Ernes, Kinsarvik, Ullensvang. Is that it? I'm familiar with Ullensvang, as I've easily been there twenty-thirty times (more specifically Lofthus, Ullensvang), but there's no Magic to be played there, it's about as rural as you can get. The closest would be Bergen or Haugesund, both ~3 hours away. In Bergen I know there is a pretty decent community, with 30-40 people at FNM every week. I think the store is Outland Bergen. You can easily find the directions using Google map.
But even if there isn't much Magic to play in Ullensvang, don't fret, it's one of the most beautiful places you'll ever visit
Anyway, if you travel around, there are large communities in Oslo and Trondheim where you'll be sure to get some games in. The stores there are Outland Østbanehallen (Oslo) and Outland Trondheim.
Wow Sene, stunning! Yeah I wouldn't worry to much about not getting to play Magic. Enjoy the world as the world is given to you, and make plenty of memories in the meantime. Besides, Norway isn't a very large country... maybe you'll be able to take a small side trip to a larger city where they have shops?
I ran this site for four and a half years (resigned only a week ago), and I don't know about that. The thing is that everything is in Norwegian, including registration and the forum itself, and most of the active members are from relatively urban areas. Which pretty much means I'm able to answer your questions just as well as most other Norwegians, and that way you don't have to go through the hassle of registering on a foreign language forum
But I do have a Magic-playing friend who's from Kvinnherad, a neighboring county of Ullensvang (both , and I'm pretty sure they had no local game store or anything there, so he played almost only Magic Online while he lived there.
I'm in the military and am going there for training but will get some time off, because of what I do I sometimes get to see to much of the world lol for most people going to places with beautiful mountains and skiing, or canoeing up the amazon, or trekking across the Mohave is a vacation, but as 90% of my job is doing these things my version of vacation is Spending time with my family, FNM's and if I'm really lucky an hour of uninterrupted video game time lol while I am grateful for all your responses I am sure I'll see some of the most spectacular mountain scenery the world has to offer I just was wondering about the magic side of things over there thanks for all the info though your right it does look gorgeous
