I heard that your name is one thing you can't change. If you can, that link would be the way to do it. A buddy of mine has his first name and last name reversed on his DCI membership and the LGS told him there was no way to change it without making a brand new account.
Although this could be misinformation and maybe they just meant there is no way to change it on the store level.

You can fix that by contacting WPN Customer Service. The next time the LGS gets an updated PIN# database, the name should show correctly. (Effectively, they can change it locally, but it gets overwritten unless WotC's record gets updated.)
I logged into the DCI page like 5 minutes ago and the name field was totally changeable (I didn't try actually saving any changes, though). Like, yeah, it says in that one link that names can't be changed, but I can verify that I was able to change my name through the DCI site a while back and it worked just fine.

You can change your name all you want in that field, it doesn't change your name. My first name is spelled wrong and I've updated that box about 1000 times. I've contacted customer service, who sent me an email that told me to respond with the correct spelling, which I did, but has never been updated. I believe they think that names are just not worth it to update....

I did this to combine numbers. They did the same, I responded, and then they never changed it.

I got mine fixed that way - I actually still have the email. That was back in September of '03, so they may have changed things since then. Or the request could just have gotten lost somewhere in the customer service chain.

I want to remind everyone to never make a new DCI-membership if you already have one. Players should never ever have more than one membership. If there is something wrong with your account, contact the DCI.

By the sound of this thread, changing your name may be possible, but you have to jump through some hoops to do it.
