ok i have a mill deck goin with you no like glimpse dampen thought twincasters and like traumatize and my friend is going to make a deck that has the card i forget then name that says if you have over 200 cards in your library you win how could i beat him because he is using tutors and is going to have 274 cards in his deck so he might beat me before turn 5 which is what i need to get traumatize witch would screw him so what other ways could i beat him
Lobotomy is another possability since odds are he won't be able to tutor for Battle of Wits and cast it on the same turn. So simply wait for him to find it, then remove it. If he plays around Lobotomy and tries to tutor for Battle of Wits and cast it on the same turn, he will ultimately be slowing himself down resulting in you having more time to Traumatize for the psuedo-win.
Unfortunately, your friend can avoid Lobotomy though by initially searching for Brainstorm on turn 3 (with dizzy spell or something along that lines) then searching for Battle of Wits on turn 4 (with Brainspoil, etc) leaving a mana open to hide his win condition which will result in the win on turn 5ish.
The final option I can think of is play Jester's Mask or Head Games to allow you to put Gaea's Blessing into his hand and avoid the whole reshuffling effect.
So either go Blue/White for Presence of the Master or Blue/Black (which you already are I assume) for more hand destruction. The key to using your hand destruction is just to wait for him to search up his Battle of Wits then use it.
first turn
Nick: I lay a swamp, tap, dark ritual...
Me: If you cast a hypnotic specter I'll punch you in the face
Nick:...ahh I take 3 points of mana burn

Why not add some green? It'll allow you to use your Traumatize quicker. Turn one BoP, turn two Kodama's Reach, turn three Traumatize. That's game for him.
why don't you just use cranial extraction? all your problems are now gone...
Well other than the fact that that was already suggested, there is also the issue with it costing a lot of money and really not being the most fun casual card. Remember you can get a lot of really awesome casual cards for 10+ dollars.
problem with cranial extraction is that in his deck that has 274 in his library he is playin around 40 counter spells or more so on turn 2 chances are he will i have atleast one and i cant play cranial until turn 4

Shadow of Doubt so he can't search up the Wits , plus it's a cantrip. Then Last Word to end his little counterspell wars.
all i need to do is just play one traumatize and he is ****ed so i need to just play one but that takes till turn 5 so he will have enought to play a counter so is there anyway that i could play it faster so my chances of him tapping himself out are higher so i could play it
If you're looking for acceleration, and assuming you're in U/B since you're milling, you won't find much. Nightscape Familiar is about the only cheap one that comes to mind. I guess you could count Silver Myr and Sea Scryer too.
IMO a better idea would be to neutralize the counter. As people have said, play your own countermagic - you're already playing blue. Foil or Thwart are readily available and can be cast for no mana. Or play Overmaster, or Boseiju, or Pyroblast/REB...the list goes on.
People have mentioned good ideas and you don't seem to be happy with any of them. Blue does not have good acceleration so you're going down the wrong path trying to race him to 5 mana. Instead, prepare to deal with an early Wits (enchantment hate or countermagic) and then worry about the Traumatize later.
Is Battle of wits ability activated???? Then simply use a pithing needle. If not, use cards such as traumatize or Glimpse the unthinkable, then use rag dealers to empty key parts of his combo from his greavyard.
I'dsay if you wan't to stay casual, add some green for enchantment removal. If not, get some extractions/jesters caps. Also, distress and persecute might be good options.
The best luck i've had milling large decks was always running green with Altar of dementia awww...memories of animating all my lands casting vitalizing wind and sacing everything.

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant what we should voyage far."
Temporal Adept could be good against it...every time he plays it, you just bounce it back so it will never trigger. That can buy more time before you can traumatize.

yeah - obviously I disagree with you, John. Spam Warning!.....Amazing - even in a forum where posts don't count, there's spam. That proves that getting rid of the post-count won't help getting rid of spam! Thans for this excellent example! - Craven

Your real problem will be if he starts using Gaea's Blessing. Then you will need stuff like Extract, Jester's Cap, and Cranial Extraction.

A. Add some counterspells.
B. Add search cards like Gifts to make your hand more consistant?
